so, 2010 marks the beginning of my new toy endeavor. dear bear will be my new toy company. i'll be self producing my own figures in resin. i hope to release one new sculpt a month, and have new colorways available on a monthly basis. each colorway will be small-ish, around 10 each. i'm also going to have a solo show at the super7 florida store in late april showcasing all dead bear figures. there will also be an exclusive figure available only at the show, with a possible alternate colorway available at the sf store. it should be fun. i'll document the progress here
Re: mini figure in the works he'll probably look somethign lke this when he's done, though some fur and elephant feet my make an appearance
Re: mini figure in the works Been digging watching your updates... even if the actual creature is totally gross and I would have a hard time painting one
Re: mini figure in the works finally got around to putting some more time into this little bugger. hope to be pouring resin by the new year
Re: mini figure in the works The final sculpt has really helped to breathe your signature style into this piece. As far as names, this little dude reminds me of Cee-Lo from Gnarls Barkley. I think the name Gnarly would be a good fit
Re: mini figure in the works Wow, that came out really well. I don't think I'd call it a mini though. That guy looks quite chunky.
Re: mini figure in the works yeah he's a decent size, he kind of grew as i made him. i still have to finish off the other side. i'm ordering silicon this weekend
Re: mini figure in the works this fucking rules. it does not look very "zombeard shaved"ish anymore. even though that wouldn't be a bad thing... great work motorbot!
i've already started working on the second figure. i'm actually remaking an earlier figure on a smaller scale. there may be a few suited monsters mixed into the dead bear family. i'm waiting on some klean klay and i can start making the mold for the treature.
Looks like you've been busy. Are these all one of a kind magic sculpt pieces or are you molding and casting them?
