I love how you can never really tell the actual size from photos. I’ve ordered cute old vinyls thinking they are 3-5” and they show up 9-12”

^^ thanks mate, apparently not everyone enjoys my contributions to SB but as long as people like you get a kick out of them, that's cool with me.

I found this one at the end of last year at a boot sale, it cost me around £2.50 if i remember correctly. 14" high and made of blow mold plastic.
Its certainly for a very small child. The only marking is a stamp that says 'Carefully made in Great Britain 0204'.

Its a bit of a shelf-hog but it fits in with my cute vintage stuff nicely. An impressive centre piece!

Vintage Salt & Pepper pots. I bought these a while back at a boot sale, something like a quid for the pair.

Vintage squeaker- not Combex for a change, but he's 5" high and fits in perfectly with my 5" Combex squeakers.
Going by the header card i reckon its 1970's but it could be 80's ....

Love those sprays! Probably lazy and careless on their end, but subtle and perfectly off for me.
    Also, no butt shot? ;)

Swinging Duck. Thats 'Swinging' not 'Swinger' .... he's not a dirty duck ;)
The plastic is a bit fragile so i didn't attach his wings for the photo, i wanted to get him back in his box without breaking him.

Nice Moog, I can't believe how many Combex guys you still manage to uncover. Great sleuthing!

That flying duck reminds of some other 'spring'-based toys I used to know. It's a shame they don't have fun things like this anymore. I mean, sure, the springs never lasted, but you still got a lot of enjoyment out of them.

Yeah, even with the few catalogues i've found online, there still seems to be an endless supply of sculpts i have never seen before (even after many years of searching). Add to that the Australian devision of Combex, which used different vinyl colours to the UK base and its a dizzying amount ...

I found this one on ebay the other day. Way too much money for my wallet, but they were nice enough to include full scans with their listing:

Thanks Moog, those pages are glorious. I am glad you saved them, thank you! So many wonderful toys there. I'd love to own a bunch of them, in addition to the traditional soft characters (like you've collected) I love those 'modern' styled animals. The description on these toys is just hilarious too, classic catalogue days. :)

Yeah, i'm particularly fond of 'Vinyl Dump Packs'

Its interesting - i found this old blow-mold rabbit scooter a while ago and had no idea who the manufacturer was. I now have to assume it was Combex going by this catalogue. Also, i unintentionally photographed mine on almost the same angle as this Womble one in the old catalogue.

^ Haha, perfect, it was definitely meant to me.

Now where can I find an adult version? Womble is fine.

Combex 1979. Another obscure / forgotten licence, a bit harder to find than the usual stuff. The blue hat fella is easier to find than the red hat female i found the other day. They're from 'Woofits', a series of kids books written by famous chat show host Sir Michael Parkinson.

Two old rubber balls i rescued from my parents garden, they said 'they came with the house'. No amount of abrasive cleaning could shift the dirt on them until i used a Mold & Mildew Blaster, and then it came straight off ...

I found this at the Malvern Flea Market on Monday for £10. He's a big fella at 10" high. The makers marks have been melted at the base so i don't know who made it, but it looks like a 50's/60's vintage one to me for sure.

I cant figure out if he's supposed to be Porky Pig or one of the three little pigs - or maybe its some other character?

Nice one! I love his expression. I’d guess he’s the 3rd, industrious pig, with his bricklayer clothes on!

Nice sturdy vinyl. Another toy i assumed was around 4" high and when he turned up he's around 10" high. Which was a nice surprise. No makers marks and he has an articulated head (no surprise, being different coloured vinyl). He's an old one, i haven't cleaned him yet.

Chiltern Squirrel with original bag. 5" high squeaker, love those old school red sprays. Made in England.

My friends took a few snaps. Not the best quality but you get the idea. This isn't all of it, there's more! - my other mate might have a few more photos on his phone .... i haven't seen his yet.
