I've had good luck with DeJapan lately. Personally what I like is they'll just charge if you win/when you purchase. Had no issues with ZenMarket service, but having to load up an account was a bit cumbersome. I think I still have 59¥ left in the account.
I did not choose the protective packaging. But is that how Buyee received my Popy figure, just in bubble wrap in a paper envelope?
Then Japan is not the utopia I always imagined it to be. Fuck those lazy assholes who think it's okay to ship like that.
Mail over there is usually more courier / personal based. Like one guy on a scooter hand delivering parcels to the recipient. I’ve never had a problem with items in japan- it’s always the mail over here that seems to destroy packages.
Well, I guess if the logo is to believed, a giant black cat carefully carries each piece of mail in its mouth. I selected package consolidation and protective packing for the last shipment, which was a standard-sized vintage figure and a handful of Bikkuriman stickers. They put them in a giant 16"x10"x7" with copious bubble wrap, and for some reason, the kaiju had a rubber band around its neck and what I can only describe as a "security blanket":
the glory of their generous coupon offers ≠ the last toilet swirl of their shipping department going down the flusher something's off there. unless it all stems from a one-person operation, in which case, i'd 100% watch a Buyee documentary.
