Chibulls , Garamon, Zazahan and Miclas are my all time favorite sculpts.
I’ve been slowly tracking down what I can find.

 

It's just a lesson that we all make mistakes sometimes, and a few less than perfect monsters dont diminish an entire body of work. Personally I like the odd ones.

Next release seems to be new paints for Kyojin, Gorgos and Gomora. Very cool, more sculpts we have not seen since before I started.

 

Yeah, i saw a kyoujin posted as new! I saw the drawings he posted, but there were never any figure teaser :/ Hope Bwana can get some Kyoujins!

 

The new Kyojin looks like an angry version of the first release, bigger eyes and red skin tone.

 

I think it's an interesting artistic choice given that he clearly can still paint inside the lines. Maybe each figure will eventually have a wacky eye version.

 

I do appreciate the difference, make each version more unique lol

 

I liked the obvious change its good for vintage vs re-release.

 

A little bit of buta history resurfaced and sold last week (alas no, it wasn't me who adopted this treasure), hand painted OG Staiin, from Mr. O's June 2010 Shigenobu Buta & Gargamel Paper Crafts show. Thought it was worth posting in the database, because it's really unique!

KADOMIUMTANK also had some good pix from that show. I've had that in my bookmarks and look at it a couple times a year. The cardboard vehicles blow my mind!

With the amount of times I looked at the online posting and pics of that show on the gargamel blog back when the show was up, I really should have every piece memorized, but alas, my memory just doesn't work that way (or well).

This one could also be a custom made by anyone...? The seller makes no claims of the origin. I guess some people know or believe it's authentic buta for them to pay that much.

 

The seller does mention he bought a secondhand. Tried to find a back ground story/photo but it looks pretty legit to me. I kind of recall, seeing one in a white helmet, and considering I actuallyI have a few HP’s from him none of them are signed
