Is this message to be sent back from the future? Since this is now out there, want to say huge props to James for taking the initiative on this, and Brian and co. for their cooperation.
Here's some of the changes: • Auto resizing for large images • Mobile-optimized skin that is auto-detected (can be bypassed if you wish) • Real name option in profile, shows up next to posts • PM inbox size increased to 200 messages. This is a test size, and may be increased or decreased depending on how it functions. • Behind-the-scenes updates There will be more changes in the next few days, and I'll be sure to let you guys know what's changed when it's implemented. You know Brian actually mentioned updating the banner when we talked about the upgrades, but I kind of don't want to change it. I think my mind might break if there was anything else up there.
Maybe have a few available you can choose from? *posting in mobile version Notes: 1. Is there a way to have the BBCode buttons show up in the mobile version? 2. Images are HUGE compared to text, can we get auto-resizing there too? 3. I was trying to find a quick way to get rid of drop down menus, like when you press the gear to access edit/delete options. The only reliable way I found so far is to just scroll up/down the page
Yeah, the banner is perfect, don't ever change that. The mobile version is weird but it's probably just because I'm not used to it.
Kevin, what device / browser are you using? I just tested the mobile version and it resized the gigantic image in this thread.
^ If you let the entire image load, does it then resize? That's the expected behavior. As far as computers go, apparently Firefox and Opera ignore the max-width property that I'm using, so I'm looking for another option to get that fixed for those browsers. Unfortunately I won't find it tonight, but I should be able to find it tomorrow. Bed time now.
Weird, it now works in this thread but still doesn't in the sale thread edit: Maybe it's just my phone. Works in most threads except a couple?
Aaaallllllright. New image resizer in place in the full browser version of the site. Pretty swank if ya ask me! The mobile version should also be working, and I'll be continuing to look into why that might not be the case.

how do we go past the first page of topics in a thread on a mobile device? my iPhone is also not resizing any of the pictures.
I can't wait to browse through all those old threads now in a legible fashion I agree on the simple header too, it is not without its charm. Soooo happy about the PM increase too.
Down at the bottom of the page there's a little thing that says "Page: Next" or "Page: Previous" if there's other pages in the thread. Also, there's a little # symbol at the bottom of the page, and if you tap that it brings up a little box that has controls for going to other pages. Alternatively, from the forum page where you see all the topic titles, you can tap the number of the page that's in the red box. Also, if you tap the red "New post" button on the topic list, it'll take you to the latest unread post in that thread.
