Re: BASK Trade Fest 2012? Medium rare. I didn't attend the last couple of trade fests because I feel like I have nothing left to trade that anyone would want, but what the heck, it's always a great idea and a good time. If BASK wants to have one to ring in the new year (or the Mayan Apocalypse or whatever) then we should do it. Can S7 host or should we find another venue?
Re: BASK Trade Fest 2012? always up for trade fest. I like having it in Japantown for old times sake. someone pic a date.
Re: BASK Trade Fest 2012? J-Town sounds good, that way we won't have to worry about interrupting biz on Haight. How about Saturday January 7th approx 11am? Will that work for peeps?
Re: BASK Trade Fest 2012? good for me. I might have to work in the early morning, so I might be a little late
I propose a white "kaiju" gift exchange. We all wrap up a toy worth $25 and we do the gift exchange complete with steals, etc. since there are so many variations. please list your favorite rules below. i'll start: 1. A toy can only get stolen 5x.
Thats a great idea... I might have work tho.....but Im going to do my best to make it. 1.toybotstudios 2.computerhair415
I don't understand why there is a list of people starting. Toybot was asking to list rules that you may want for the gift exchange...and then it becomes a list of people...
LOL. the kr comment is clutch. 1. 5x might get a little crazy. Can we go for 3x? 2. Is this perceived/market value or retail value? I've got some figs that would likely be over that in terms of retail, but would gladly donate them purely due to the fact that I don't really see them fitting in my collection anymore. 3. No aggressive shaking or fondling of gifts in attempts to identify them? (You all know that some of these figures have very distinct shapes and sizes, so I'm just saying.) anyone care to add to the list?
Official BASK Kaiju Gift Exchange Rules: 1. no toy can get stolen more than 3x 2. $25 perceived market value toy. feel free to bring a toy worth more than $25 if you're feeling generous. 3. no aggressive shaking or fondling of toys in attempt to identify them. 4. no dressing up like a furry, but Goth Lolita ok unless your name is Jeff. 5. toy must be wrapped in some way.
So who is thinking about coming out? For those willing, I was planning on doing a few brief interviews. Asking your opinion on 2011 Toy of the Year and the toy you are most looking forward to in 2012.
