if you guys are looking for a good affordable hotel I would try the sakura in jimbocho. Its around the corner from a station.

 

As Mr Flynn said its no joke, very cheap. Clean nice and they speak english well. Oh and for the Vegans... Theres a great indian place around the corner.


EDIT: and its on the shinjuku line. smack dab in the middle .

 

I just looked up The Sakura and it is damn cheap, even for a single room. When I went, I stayed at the Dai-ichi in Ikebukuro...about a 3min walk to the JR Yamanote line. Maybe next time I'll check out Sakura.
