Ugh. There's already a nag thread. Keep that noise where it belongs.

I assumed that was the only reason people bought that god awful "toy" at this point. That and to brag to their internet brahs.

    Clearly a production run

Lots of price talk earlier, but when they're flipping for over 2k do you blame the guy making the toys to get more of that

850 is a fair price in my book. If it bothers you to this extent then don't enter the lottery.

Anyone who thinks Nags won't vastly depreciate at some point is a fool. There is no shame in paying however much a toy is worth to you, but if you think it is a good deal because they are flipping for several thousands dollars right now, good luck with that!

    Re: NAG NAG NAG SUNDAY

There's plenty of artists whose work has only appreciated in value since release, if anything the Nag being this niche's most valued item will only play to its favor. Beyond that, think about how only a few (<10) people own almost all the Nags - they're likely to have the funds to keep that specific market afloat even in hard times. Like maybe a dude like coop could do a sell off, but in spots like this if a collection gets broken up amongst new buyers it'll likely only excite people more

Art market stuff, which is probably annoying to read, but these things aren't gonna sink to a reasonable or obtainable price. Particularly with Kozik publicly jumping into it, Mishka SF opening today with a bunch of releases, I'd expect 1k retail 4k flips by 2014. Lots of KR people who can't figure out how to/don't want to post on this forum are getting into them too. Not really worried about being wrong tho, I'm still happy to have never spent a dollar on bitcoins

    Re: NAG NAG NAG SUNDAY

Brah, if you had been around, prices for tons of toys have sky rocketed and then disappeared on this board. Its not art, its about 25 people (maybe 50) all trying to buy the same thing, no one else cares.
    Mother anyone?

It's a good deal because if you win the lottery you don't have to worry about buying the art you want from a flipper. I can't even remember the last time I saw a recent nag on the bay, but I don't check that often.

SDCC, NYCC, and the Clutter Show don't seem to presenting these items to people as toys in any way. Like I get that you could bust it out of the bag and go have fun in the mud with it but all public presentations of Nags are as art

And to think, just a few years ago these "pieces of art" were just crudely sculpted weird toys with a little mystery to em.

    More awful art market stuff

Things could get real expensive if Mondo flippers and other KR people get into it. The poster market is on the decline and they have pretty big bankrolls. Olly Moss stuff is going crazy cheap. Kaws toy buyers aren't gonna be able to upgrade to Kaws art when he moves on, and that money is gonna be spent elsewhere and likely on other big ticket items. People early to 3A, having spent big money and are cashing out now on KR and eBay, are moving on too.

Lots of tastes change, I dunno if all the Pogue stuff I've read compares to people moving on and liking other things
