Awesome cutsom by Kiyoka! Love that Mazinger color pattern--so basic and the colors pops out! Props to Kiyoka for the choice of concept.
Show is stunning, thanks 1M for all the pics. Never noticed some of the mecha details until seeing these paints, they're really something. Yellow Chaos was the Donkey Kong prize? If I'd known that, I'd've flown out ... and practiced DK day and night ... and still been hopeless at it ... never mind. Leecifer Visighosts are both super, but I still wanna see the others! Frankie! Creature! Wolfman! Finally, I'm highly impressed with this set - Awfully unusual color scheme for kaiju, but it works somehow - Strong and clean.
The yellow chaos wasn't the DK prize - it was the prize that Aaron chose from the prizes available (1 of 5) Aaron picked #1 out of the bag and had free reign to pick any prize he wanted
Yeah, Michael is right. Just in case anyone was wondering what the prizes were: Unpainted Yellow Chaos Green Prototype Frankenghost Clear Gatchigon with colored BB's a Nintendo Wii S7 Tron Shirt Pack (I think that's what it was)
So essentially a "History of Super 7 in Vinyl"? Looks like everybody had a good time. Sorry I missed it.
This was great fun. So many creative entries for the contest and a dizzying array of amazing customs for sale from Gargamel. I think the big zags varied in price from $250 - $400, depending on who painted it. Kiyoka's gachamechas were truly insane, there was a killer mini-zag racer which chanmen did, koji and kiyoka did a bunch of really nice TokojiSeijins and there were loads of mini's as well, not to mention the awesome paintings!! I believe the clear walking hedoran everyone was/is drooling over was done by kiyoka's new assistant, Hiro, who also had some other stand-out pieces (like the "cheetah" mightin I hemmed and hawed over all night long). Anyway, really stoked I made it up for this, got to meet new people and catch up with others. Congrats to Brian and S7 on 7 great years. Thanks to the S7 crew for throwing a great party and for all the hard work (even though Joe Bunny and Alex sent us to Ike's Sandwich shop on our way back home which took nearly as long as the drive to LA itself... even the peace-loving hippie locals were turning into an angry mob at Ike's. But i'm told the sandwich was excellent, which is more than I can say for the breakfast at hotel kabuki. Eat at denny's instead).
oooooohh...looks like lots of mini zag goodness at the show! Too bad I'm across the country! Looks like it was a fun time.
They haven't been released yet. I think in a month or 2 and I think on the belt..there are two snakes intertwined.
I don't think they're past the Proto phase yet... I think their appearance at the party was more of a teaser than anything else. Everyone who saw them was excited about them.
i put in a bid of a poguestach + a LOT of money + my virginity, and i was still out bid by one person. since it is the OG fight figure i thought my idea of going out back and fighting for it was the best idea, but noooo, they wanted to do a silent auction.
so did the announce what it sold for and kept the winner silent or did they keep the final price silent too?
I just want to give props to whoever selected the games for the event. Joust is without a doubt one of the best games from the classic arcade days...bummed I wasn't there just to play a round or two. so simple yet so amazing. emulators just can't hold a candle to the real thing... oh, and the toys looked pretty cool too...
Dude I would have wupt your ass something serious for that. You lucky that wasn't the case and I wasn't there. Man I want this so bad. Grail status for sure.
