I picked up the set below at GamJam and I enjoy the silly/derpy vibe. The textures remind me of the Marusan Pachi figures, especially the back of the big guy. If anyone knows more about 123 Toy I'd be interested in hearing! Spoiler: Moar pix This trio reminds me of the hedoran brothers, but trees.
Agreed on the Marusan pachi aesthetic. I've asked Kaminaga-san if some of those may have been carved out of wood, he thinks so. Whether these sculpts are wood or clay. That approach really works well with tree-based characters.

It really was love at first sight though. I felt like Treebeard the Ent discovering the Hobbits in Fangorn Forest, and since then I've been down the rabbit hole learning everything I can find about these little misfits. They are an interesting mix of chonky sculpts and paint styles with the doll eyes. Learn now the lore of the 123 Toy living creatures!
