Yeah, Nate totally hit it out of the park with that one. Amazing!!! I love the color combos and the metallics! I'm going to have to try really hard to keep up with you guys
Pics via Baikin's flickr... http://www.flickr.com/photos/vinylriot/sets/72157621691483599/ super awesome show. everything looks really great. wish i was there to see it.
Hey my guys made it there in time after all (with the help of $30 shipping)! Is yours there Bert? Thanks a lot for posting the pics Baiken!!! So wish I could be at this!
Let me just put it this way: everyone who busted their butts (and paid huge amounts of postage) are the true heroes of the world. I'm incredibly sorry to everyone for being so bad about getting back to mail/PMs lately. Trust me, its not that I don't appreciate everything, I was just so busy getting ready for everything coming up this week that I've been completely crushed for time. Thank you guys so, so much. Everything looks absolutely amazing, and I really truly appreciate all the time and care you all put into the figures. The opening was great, and we've had a ton of good feedback from everyone coming through. Thank you so much! I'll have pictures and more info up tomorrow after doing Wonderfest and then the gallery!
I think that my 100th post is the right time to write it from Japan I've been to the opening party of Velocitron show in Monstock this tuesday and I must say it was really, really great. I finally had the oportunity to meet some people from the board and it was great fun. A lot of sofubi designers were there too (Blobpus, Sunguts, Hariken, Pooyan...) and believe me the exhibition is something to be seen. And Monstock is an intimate place crowded with unbelievable pieces of sofubi ! All the customs from the show are so diverse that it prooves you can really have different artistic interpretation from the same base blank models. If you are around here, I do recommend coming seeing the show ! You may have seen Baikin's review already, but I took some photos too and you might want to see them in my Flickr There's also a pic of Velocitron's booth at the WonderFestival today.
Pics of the toys up on Velocitron's flickr. LASH toys made it to the show from the looks of it. Some really great pieces. I just can't believe I actually finished mine and it got there in time. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24809502@N02/
People really pulled out all the stops for this show. It goes to show that if you make a great toy people will want to do it justice. Really wish I could have been there for this. Thanks to Ricky and all those that worked extra hard to make Grim Reapers one stand up event.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in the show! Sorry for the glacial pace of my updating, I got home and got the pictures edited and up late last night, and I'll jump back on tonight and edit the details for the auction sale. To everyone who has been putting up with my ridiculously bad mail turn-around as of late: THANK YOU. You guys are all heroes and your patience will pay off! Cool things on the horizon!!!
Pictures are edited and prices are added! Everything came out great Ricky. I love your descriptions for all the customs, it really shows how excited you are about each and every one. And congrats on the VELOCITRON x Blobpus colab ! Cant wait to see this guy all packaged up : Classic Blobpus colors And although all of the customs are great my favorite of the show is this guy :
Totally! Isao hit it out of the park with that one. And I didn't really explain this well before, but just so everyone knows these guys will be offered as a lottery sale, so you don't have to worry about being fast. Just let me know if there are any you'd like to enter the lottery for and I'll get your name down for those. Just found out: the deadline for the lottery items will be on the 10th!
Thanks for the great shows and talking with me there, Riki-san!! I've just sent the mail for the lottery sales and finger crossed
No your right lash, that one is fantastic! It really utilazes both sculpts in a really pleasing matter that also softens there otherwise more sinister nature when apart into something almost cute and whimsical.
Thanks for coming out, Kaz! Great to finally make the connection between your SB handle and real life! Lottery sales up until the 10th, so if there's anything you've got your eye on shoot me a mail this week! Thanks again to everyone who has helped/contributed to the show or signed up for the customs!
The PK Larvas are AMAZING. Thanks so much for doing those! Completely mind-blowing job on all of them, and I love the Alice and mummy-wrap versions! Still a couple of days left on the lottery, but coming up soon!
