Crazy random find in a local 'pop culture toy shop' ,these guys are awesome.. ace killer by i thorn, on Flickr gigan by i thorn, on Flickr space guy by i thorn, on Flickr mystery by i thorn, on Flickr
Hadn’t seen this thread before, the first six pictures of mini pachi kaiju are amazing, very jealous.
I found this wonderful photo of an (unofficial?) Godzilla vs Gamera gacha machine display card with many of the little pachi kaijū I am always hunting: The top left gojira and gamera are unlicensed pachi, and the keychain figures have Tsuburaya copyrights on the bottom of their feet. I have also seen the keshi goji with a keychain attached. I would like a bucket full of these things to play with.
^had or may still have the gamera, did not know that it was part of a carded set. Really nice paint, even out of pack and play worn. Thanks for sharing the photo!
@poysntixels - I believe the sealed card is meant to be displayed inside a gachapon machine to show the the capsule toys inside. The Gamera looks like fun (not my photos):
These mini Nikko pachi gojis are my current favorites: They also have a Tsuburaya Productions copyright engraved on the bottom of the feet. Spoiler: more photos
"...The Gamera looks like fun" I am always amazed at how very good some of the sculpting is on gachas. These are definitely great.
This set is really great!! I have to agree on it being the header backing for a gashapon machine. Part of the weirdest thing for me is the inclusion of the Guiros (ガイロス) figure, which, apart from being a random Tsuburaya character, is barely that recognisable even within Ultra circles. Few toys of him have been made, and to obscure matters further, he is of a different scale, possibly type, and paint, to all the figures shown there. Like someone really just grabbed a random toy to fill in an extra gap. Also appears to be a pachi version, as it does not resemble the keshi figures I have seen. For reference, my licensed version is shown below (I believe these come from the 'battle' boardgame sets):
Not my photos, but check out this amazing Gamera. Congrats to whomever bagged this one: Spoiler: more photos
Congrats to whomever keeps outbidding me on these keshi Gamera. I doff my cap to you, good sir or madam: Spoiler: more photos
Whhaaaaaaaa???? That guy totally slipped me by, Mark, but what a delight. Sorry that you missed out on the auction, but thanks for sharing him here. He seems right on the border of pachi vs. bootleg, but either way is very cool. Now I want to see the other characters imagined in this line.
@djkemp - Dave, those paint colors are looking magical on the light blue vinyl. A very nice contribution to this thread.
Very nice, love the 'evolution.' So can you confirm (or disprove) that the head on the pachi is the same as the original Bullmark? I haven't had one in hand to do a direct comparison, but wasn't sure if it was just a matter of mashing up the parts, or was more of re-creation off the original, as there seemed to be some subtle differences. Have the stamps been removed?
So the head and body are identical to the originals. If you look at the pic of the feet below you can see where the markings have either been filled in or removed. If you look closely on the foot of Oil Drinker you can see where they didn't quite fill in all the script.
Yeah, there was a set of those up for grabs, with the tower even, just a few days ago, but it was one of those 'blink once to think it over and you've missed it' things. And, of course I did.
