Hola! I am from Singapore and I have been stalking the boards for a long time. Just finally decided to create an account. Cheers! Instagram: imakelv
You have one of my favorite IG pages for toy pics. It's like your toys are constantly on vacation somewhere amazing. Fun stuff and welcome.
I'm in consistent envy over some of the sofubi collector's photography and Photoshop skills on IG; i have literally zero. My IG is max6034 , and I try my best though! However, my toys have only made it as far as the backyard so far.
Hello, I was told to introduce myself here! I'm Anna! I'm 26. I started off with collecting Vintage toys, Kidrobot, horror movie memorabilia and collectables which brought me to Kaiju and sofubi. My first Japanese toy was a small VAG Negora shortly after my mother returned from Japan. There was so much excitement for me over that little guy and I get enjoyment out of every piece I've acquired. I've been reading threads on and off for a little while now but still feel a little lost. I was able to receive a Max Toy Club membership a couple months ago so I am hoping that helps ! I am a fraud analyst as my day job, so staring at these little dudes and hunting for them brings light into the grim I see all day! Thanks for the add onto the site
If we are talking about Irony, how about "Anti Social Andy" making sure he replies with some rude unnecessary comment on every post I make..?
The fraud comment wasn't a direct 'pop' at you . . . The world of dolly collecting is probably as grim and full of scams/frauds/chancers as your day job! But super-super-stoked to have another American with no sense of humour or comprehension of sarcasm and irony on-board!
Hi everyone, “Fresh Meat” here from Singapore. Been browsing here for a few weeks and membership just got approved (thanks James). Was first intrigued by this genre when I saw some booths during last year’s STGCC in September. I was fascinated by the designs of these weird looking figures, they are like weird yet scary yet cute yet “what is this shit” yet cool yet expensive ( I had no idea about the edition size, etc). In Dec, I was visiting Hong Kong, visited Inn’s Point which later led me to Vintage & Vinyl Club then I saw a Restore FOG and that was it. Did some research after that and got my first piece from Ebay. Here is an interesting story, I bought a figure off a local collector. I mentioned that I am totally new to this scene and asked him to share photos of his collection. He was super nice and patient and shared photos of his amazing collection. So many different gorilla looking sofubis and lots of cool stuff. I was mentally taking notes about which to add to my wish list. I felt so silly after that because those were hxs figures… =D
Hi I’m Jim! My friend calls me Jimbo. Also known as jimspacet. I’m a 34 year old Mover from Rhode Island (that’s below Massachusetts and to the east of Connecticut). I like long walks on the beach in video games. I have one amazing wife and one fur baby. I collect both soft and not so soft vinyl toys. My collection is an ever growing means to an end and I love every inch of it. I listen mainly to punk music and it’s many derivatives. I’ve been fortunate to shake hands with some amazingly nice people. If I’m lucky I’ll be able to meet and befriend other likeminded collectors in this ever growing community (and block all the rest). Sorry for the wall
Hi everyone, I'm Han from Chicago. I have been watching this Forum for a long time and finally created an account. I usually post pictures of my Sofubi collection and daily life on Instagram. I've been collecting soft vinyl toys for about 3 years now and I love the bright side toys bring to my life. I look forward to sharing toys and the story behind with you guys. I hope to see you all around, both old faces and new. Thank you all for reading.
