    Hey Skullbrain!

I've probably met a few of you IRL at conventions. My name is Jared I'm on instagram as littledevilsclub. I collect 80s vintage SD horror stuff, Bandai, Tomy, Yonezawa etc. also video game, monster, and youkai sofubi from current makers that echo a similar vibe to the vintage stuff. Huge fan of anything Hino or Umezz or Dracula / Frankenstein / Universal Monsters and am a huge sucker for sofubi plush and walkers.

I made this account a DECADE AGO (holy shit -______-) to lurk and research and kinda forgot I did haha. I love talking about this stuff and look forward to joining the conversation and showing you some of the goofy shit I have been fortunate enough to add to my toy hoard...

    Heyo,
I'm tim out in the puget sound, i moved from indiana but originally from south florida. i like punk stuff but usually just go for the oldies station these days. I collect a bunch of different things from tiki mugs, comics, toys, various paper vapor, and old mineral magazines. i got into underground toys from Brandon at Man or Monster (Bognar!) after buying his used figs at a "flea market" in town. Because he was doing motu style figs i was introduced to resin toys. Sofubi was always a mystery hidden behind high price tags and long boat rides across the ocean. Now I'm fortunate enough to have a job that goes a little further than just paying the bills and some time right before the pandemic i took the plunge with my first soft vinyl toy. Because i fear long shipping times i have tended to gravitate toward more western makers. Some of my favorite craftsmen are Bwana, Splurrt, Jon Rampage, and Grody Shogun to name a few.

I'm really excited to get down and start posting photos of my toys and whatnot. I have been on the hunt for a good old school style message board since my old one shut down and after reading a ton of threads i think we will get along like a dream. I'll try not to be too over excited but after looking and trying a bunch of different things i finally found that feeling i had when i heard my first punk band. I am glad for companies like Mile High for dispelling some of the mystery of toy production but the punk pressure of "it was easy, it was cheap, go and do it" is grinding me down that i haven't put out my own toy yet. For now i'll just post photos, be positive, and try to stay out of the way

    ps.
sorry for the ramble, I shouldn't have done this stoned

    Hello :D

My name is Rodrigo, I'm from Mexico, and on October 20, 2023 I started collecting sofubi and art toys and serigraphs of bands I like.

Something about me is that I'm very friendly, I like to know about creativity and imagination, I like music in general (I try to be a drummer), and currently I work as a project manager in a company dedicated to plastic injection.

Since I was a child I have been fascinated by music and movies, this has helped me to create a concept of the things that attract me today. I remember watching many times the making of MJ's Thriller, and the whole creative process of doing the make-up, the werewolf and all that, at that time I could also watch and be fascinated by the movie "Jason and the Argonauts". It blew my mind to see all those monsters on the screen.

As a teenager I officially started collecting legos (Batman movie) as well as NECA figures, Freddy, Jason, Hellraiser (Pinhead), etc.

Now that I am a functioning adult I started with sofubi, and I have found a fascination for every piece I have found and the story behind it. In this case my favourite piece so far has been Cinema Monster by Splurrt.

My expectation is to keep learning in this group about everything behind each creation, and of course, to have camaraderie with the members of the group.

Welcome @roy_2002! Good to have you hear. I think you'll find some fella Mexicans on the board with great taste in toys, and a really nice intro into the scene with Joe's CM.
