I was passing buy the lion Chen 3 eyes toy, and my daughter said "dada go back I wanna see" so I hesitantly scroll back to it and she says, "Oh so pretty and beautiful, I love spooky scary things". Literally a little worried lol.

Did you guys see the two Lionchen toys on eBay? Ended at $2,500 and $2200 if I remember correctly. Looked like gore totems.
People really spend a fortune on the fugly.
Meanwhile I asked a friend how much he thinks it’s worth, he said $50. It’s really funny to see an outsider’s perspective on these.

Yikes, this batch is particularly fugly. The worst I think is the Telebobo with gangrene nips... That's also a tough one to explain to guests. "I dunno, I just like necrotizing wrinkly man nips."

I always thought the 2 head King was giving devil horns, but that's actually a devil dog body, and a devil dog head in the other hand...

I’m surprised that companies don’t go after these toy makers for blatantly using their franchises to make money. I mean, first guy didn’t even try to make the name ambiguous, just straight up “Hellraiser III”.
I got a cease and desist from Rovio years back just for selling a clay bird called “Angry Bird”. Had zero to do with the franchise, it was a bird that was angry. Still had to take it down and renamed it “Pissed off bird”.

These makers are such small operations that the licensors and licensees would never know unless they were actively searching. It's also possible that Clive Barker, NECA, etc. know about this and don't care.

On top of that most are overseas which makes it extremely difficult to take any legal action. Especially when all you have is an anonymous Instagram account and a string of numbers email address.

Carlos had this in the works before the plague hit if I’m not mistaken. Then again I’m old and might be losing what is left if my mind. I remember talking to someone/sculptor about this this and I haven’t seen or spoken to them in like 4+ years. So it might have gotten shelved. I’m also pretty sure the guy who made that blocked me because I called him out for the blatant rip-off.

    just checked, I’m blocked. Hahaha.

Okay, the Pocky bear and bunny are actually pretty cute. If someone gifted me those or something I’d be pretty stoked to display ‘em.

Wait, did PlanetXAsia just make their own knockoff Polluto, at the same time that Justin Ishmael made his?

I'm guessing it's some existing product they incorporated into the figure.
