Who was that dude anyway? I’m rather out of the loop when it comes to sofubi rui... uhh, “painters”.

This is why every one of these sofubi snowflakes should take a REAL art class. Not the kind where you pay to be complimented, but the kind where someone isn’t afraid to tell you that your shit is bad. Dealing with criticism is so important for anyone who wants to be an artist. Not everyone is going to love your work, and not every shit you make is gonna shine.

i personally dont like art classes because it puts a lot of people in boxes or makes them want to follow rules?? if that makes sense. a lot of stuff loses soul when its tooo by-the-book imo

i think its important to not let your ego be inflated by a bunch of "fans" who couldnt even tell you what they like about your work. but maybe be open to not mentally breaking down at the slightest criticism

 

Was that guy 15 years old? I work with teenagers and that sounded a lot like someone with pimples.

Unfortunately this practice will continue as long as the collectors on Facebook/Instagram keep buying them, or requesting 'commissions'.

I'd say our boy 'Ginger Vigilante' is the most prolific of the Desu-ruiners, and apparently he's had nothing but praise so far. The inclusion of his 'art' in the Fugly thread came as quite a shock to a fragile ego, hence the tantrum. Not the first painter to throw his toys out the pram on here, and not the last.

 

I realise that this is the 21st century, body-shaming is bad, 'everyone is beautiful', we should embrace individuality and diversity, look beyond the superficial, and whilst fully understanding that I ain't no Brad Pitt!

But FUCK . . . that guy's like a walking parody of American youth!
