Yeah, I'd seen them going into the convention but figured they would be outside my budget. Actually those spooky boogies being sold out is the only reason I could afford it ;) Funny how that worked out!
I read here that they're hand cast soft resin, feeling it though I cant tell what its made of. It's harder than sofubi, but doesn't feel like resin.. maybe because its "soft resin".. the made in china stamp bummed me out, but it definitely looks hand painted, and I love the character and packaging! Overall really happy to be able to add it to my collection

@DrMadness Normally, his toys are rotocasted in a soft resin that has a very, very similar feel to sofubi. But these releases with Medicom were actually done in sofubi, sans the big, fuzzy dudes. Those were still soft resin, I believe!

This was a gift from Ken - San of Headlock Studio, after the convention had closed on Sunday. I really, really like the goofiness of these Daruma. I gotta come into the yellow version soon.

I love the box art as well does it say who did it? I kinda reminds me of rockin jellybean, but that was just from a glance

I'm only bringing these here because Maruhachi Gangu seems to have done all of their releases in some type of creative partnership with Shelterbank. Maruhachi was boothing alongside Headlock this year at DCon, and had with him new versions of the Daruma, and a brand new toy called Lucky. A single pull sofubi owl produced in a rather new, small factory based in Nagoya. Maruhachi was rather prideful of the "Nippon" stamp on the back of the owl, which I found to be pretty cool to see his excitement over. I really like how simple this owl is, especially with this very minimal paint app!

Anyone else score in the recent Vader and Marman lottery. I know the world is upside down right now so Im not yelling or anything, but has anyone received theirs? I had a weirdness with my bank when I paid for them, but I confirmed with the bank the payment went through on Mar 2nd. Anyone know anything?

Uh nevermind... I searched for this thread and immediately posted in it about a new Shelterbank release, w/o realizing what section it was in... off to find a dedicated Shelterbank thread in Japan Toys...
