    Years in the making. The first reboot version is an absolute win. It's got a complete vintage vibe with a PK twist. Plus..painted by Goto San?? Home run. I love this thing.

    I believe Don "Datadub" designed Fighter X and Cory "Science Patrol" designed Kaijin Namazu based on his previous Namazu toys. Not sure who actually sculpted these though.

    These are wonderful, so thrilled to see them being executed after all this work and inspiration for them. You can definitely appreciate each individual artists' design, and of course I just completely love the disco bootleg bods. These are going to be an easy must chase for me.

    All sculpted by the creators!
    I actually did mine quite a few some years ago. A bootleg Fireman was sacrificed and I made resin replicas of the arms and lower torso.
    Then I went a bit crazy and sculpted quite a few upper torso parts. It was really fun and a great idea. I'm excited to see these as it was a great chance to go nuts and make some real wild cheese and not be so frikkin' anal.
    Series two is amazing as well! Let's hope it sells well and Don will roster up some more artists and spawn some more weird ideas.

    i had to have a friend help me this weekend they came out perfect and the color is beautiful! plus having a goto painted devilman tribute is a nice cherry on top

    Damn, all three really catch that inexpressible out-of-time feeling better than the vast majority of retro-minded dollies that I've seen in the past few years. A close second to Big One Craft in my esteem.

    These are absolutely brilliant. Not knowing a whole lot at all of the full influence or where they come from, the Reboots are goddamn good enough to stand on their own for fun, for any collector. But there is a major vintage ‘66 Marusan Ultraman feel to the legs, arms and poses. Debiru Neko is my favorite, but I’m eager to own the entire set, one each in a different color, to complete a full set of PK Reboots!

    If you are interested in more of the background on the vintage originals, I started a thread dedicated to these once upon a time, but sadly it never took off. I know Don has always been a massive fan, so I don't doubt he was a major influence on this project. You can see some more examples in this general bootleg thread, including this nice group shot from Chris. Don has an amazing grouping of these he shared on Flickr (unfortunately I can't re-host the image here), but you can see the family of them and link to the group shot at this post. I think it may have been suggested - via a magazine article on Fireman - that Romando could have been responsible for these.
