I am going on Friday the 4th if anyone needs anything purchased at NYCC...my press pass came the other day..no markups just cost plus shipping.
I was able to get Pumpkin Boy for myself and the wrong Dino from Super7. When I went back later to S7 it looks like pumpkin was sold out around 2pm on Friday. The place was a madhouse overall and a lot of stuff was sold out at other stores by the the time I got there at 11:30 on Friday
Pretty wild considering that they had plenty of sofubi left over after Five Points. Figured there'd be left over figs since NYCC isn't laser focused on sofubi / designer toys. Oh well, my bank account gets a reprieve.
PSA: If you want stuff from a convention, then make sure you post it to the Wanted thread! I checked every day for people I could help out and there wasn't a single post.
I don't understand why more con vendors don't make bags. A fun little bonus gift, plus free advertising. I was surprised how affordable they were when we made them for Dcon last year. Something we'll repeat again this year for sure. On the S7 vinyl subject, I'm wondering if they just haven't gotten around to posting them online yet. They are much lower in numbers than action figures, so counting exact stock available might take a little more time to be sure they don't oversell. I can't imagine everything sold out, but I could be wrong.
Looks like they've been posting through the day. Not sure if they're completely done yet. The inventory that was up when I checked this morning has expanded, and it looks like there are a few Sofubi up, now. Loads of Micros, if that's your poison. I'm hoping they dig up a spare Wing Kong somewhere.
NYCC has just publicly announced Oct 7 -10 2021 as the official in person convention dates, at the Javits Center. 6 months to make or break!
