So happy to have finally gotten this one off by @Paulkaiju out in the wild. I was worried the incredible color choices wouldn’t bode well with the surroundings, but I couldn’t be more pleased with how this shot turned out.

 

A beautiful scene, and a fitting representative of the beauty of the deep!

 

Keeping in line with an oceanic theme, the Krono is loosely based on Harryhausen’s Kraken. Only Secretoy’s rendition wreaks havoc amongst the land, as well.

Outtake from my San Diego trip to Ocean Beach. I was so happy with this shot until I zoomed in and saw that it was out of focus(my glasses were fogged up from the humidity. ). But it’s still an okay lookin’ shot after editing to me.

Outstanding @EtR_Wolf The goji on the lotus leaf is spectacular -- great lighting, lovely textures from the leaf and that little lotus blossom peeking in the background. Super calming too! That FewMany fox fish racer is so cute! My heart would've sunk if those toys went down! Bemlar and eggplant is priceless! Some nice photos there!

 

Lol, Thank you! Much appreciated! (There are more photos in a slide show with those individual pictures, but the other photos in the slideshows cannot be shared, ah well.) - For instance, if you click on the Bemular eggplant photo, then you'll also see Bemular trying to eat some broccoli, berries, and purple basil.

The lili pad area at the Chicago Botanic Gardens is one of my favorites for photographing kaiju, but I tried to go to different areas to avoid redundancy. There are these other massive lili pads that are pretty fantastic as well, but there weren't any flowers near them, and they would have been harder to reach.

As far as them sinking. I'm not too worried maybe about that?? I haven't tested it myself (as I'm a little too paranoid to do so), but I'm assuming that since the toys are hollow and light, that they wouldn't sink that quickly if at all. They'd have to completely fill up with water if imagine. So if they would fall into the water, I'd be able to get them out quick enough. But I still wouldn't want water getting inside of them!

 

Yup! Those extra pics are so nice! I sadly missed the Botanic Gardens whenever I work-traveled to Chicago (by the time the work day ended, everything was closed! ). Nice setting!

 

@Mr. Humphreys , awe! Well, if you are ever out here again, let me know, and I can take you there! (I'm hoping Covid will no longer be an issue by then.) We usually have a season pass to the Botanic Gardens, and sometimes also to a museum. So I'd be more than happy to take you to those places! (Maybe I'll even be able to drag a fellow 'Brainer with us. - you know who you are if you are reading this! )
My daughter goes to preschool there, so I usually walk around there while she is in school.
