Ah nice, thanks for the clarification, David. Those are some cool wrestler packs.

I think you have too much faith in the collector base.

Although I gotta say, if I had more money than brains I might be tempted.

There's plenty of people out there already that meet that criteria...

What's the deal with the auctions, it looks like some items are older. But I haven't followed all the one off sales. Are these all older pieces, or did HxS collaborate with Mandarake to create new pieces for the auction event?

it's a way to get funds for new projects. I'm guessing he's made this and had them around for a while?

Iuno, tons of near toys there though.

That's actually kind of neat that it looks like there's some poseability to the wires. Did not know that. Not for me, though. I'm generally freaked out by non-vinyl additions to vinyl toys. I'm OK with cloth, though, for some reason.

    The wires are poseable.

Cool. i still don't really care for it (it just looks fragile to me), but that is a bonus.

Oh, shit don't start that up again

Apparently, catgut is made from the guts of every animal but cats.

I wonder if the latest blog post is referring to that Mandarake auction..? Never seen any of these before, I wasn't even aware of the SDCC'14 Itamu kit...

It is a sad remark on the state of SB nowadays when I can't necessarily know that that is a joke.

In all seriousness, if it funds more projects and puts money in his pocket for all the years of enjoyment I've gotten from his toys/art, I could care less if he makes boatloads from this. I hope he does.
If someone is willing to pay the outrageous prices, then more power to them. I don't have that kind of loot, nor would I spend that if I did on a price tag like that.

To each their own. People are always going to flip, brag, hoard, while others treasure what they have...complaining about missed lottos or sniped auctions will ever stop it from happening or change what collecting has become. Enjoy what you got and be stoked that rad toys are still being made.
