I'm a cancer survivor and my dad survived it, but my mom didn't. I used to work for the American Cancer Society, but have never been able to participate in any of the fund-raising Relays for Life because it's too emotional for me. This is an awesome thing you're doing. Fuck cancer forever!

I only made it 13.1 miles and my legs still feel pretty beat. Not too bad given my lack of training and just being incredibly out of shape overall. Next year should go much better.

Glad you made it man! 13 miles isn't anything to be ashamed of. Hell I have a fit bit and for a whole day I moved 8 miles once and went "I'm awesome". I'm lucky if I get 5 miles in a day haha. Bravo, sir!
