If you know @childrenintheslipstream on Instagram, please get in touch with me. He invoiced me $115 through his girlfriend's PayPal in March over some RxH mini figures, which he never sent me. I opened a dispute once but shut it after he messaged me in a panic saying he'd ship immediately. Stupid move, but it was my first PayPal dispute, and I didn't know how those are supposed to go. PayPal has told me they can't reopen the case since I already shut it, and today my bank finished their investigation. Since they already debited me the money when I first called them, they will now be charging me $115.

He doesn't seem to follow many sofubi folks and I don't even have a name since the invoice went to his girlfriend's account. If anyone can help out, please give me a shout. If not, at least you all have his handle in case he pops up trying to sell more toys.

 

@zindabad That sucks! What's with the boyfriend/girlfriend thing? Isn't this the 4th or 5th instance. I know there are multiple posts somewhere on here. Wonder if the names are the same?

 

Huh. Hadn't thought of that. Not sure since this guy only seemed to be selling once and stopped posting to Instagram entirely in May, but I suppose if the intention was never to ship, and you'd done it a few times, you wouldn't use the same account each time.

@zindabad It might also be helpful to say what toys you were trying to buy, that way if the guy throws them up on eBay etc. He might use same photos

 

Here's the photo; I asked for 3 of them. He freaked out and said he'd send them all when I first opened a dispute. Dude seemed to be in a rough place so I turned that down, but shouldn't have closed the dispute. I know better now.



For the record, I know a scammer isn't going to act like one, but he really did seem to be a regular collector who'd stopped a while ago, in a tough spot. Trouble is it doesn't make a difference on my end. I have a friend who still owes me $250 from when I bought something from him, he disappeared to rehab and never found my doll when he got back. Same thing.

 

So I don’t go to the doctor for way to long. Decided to finally go, two types of blood pressure meds, two types of blood sugar meds, dizziness, stomach problems, now I have to go to the neurologist and then get a sonogram for my neck to check the arteries because I’m still dizzy. I guess better safe then sorry, but you (the doctor) said it yourself, my pressure and sugar are fluctuating like crazy, hopefully that’s all it is and it’s just taking my body longer to adjust to the meds and change of diet.

Now all of a sudden, I have clogged arteries in my neck, or a neurological problem. I wasn’t dizzy before I started taking the meds or diet change.

This isn’t a fuck you to anyone actually, well maybe myself, for waiting so long to go to the doctor. Really just a rant.

 

Sorry to hear it Ed. Don't mean to sideline what you're going through at all, but if anyone has been in contact with @slipstar01 recently, let me know. He seems to be the guy who took my money and disappeared. Thanks to a great board member for some fantastic sleuthing.

 

@useless toys You might be suffering anxiety and the shortness of breath can lead to felling light headed and dizzy.

Even strong willed people, who resist giving in to panic, anxiety, depression etc. can and often do still experience the physical effects associated with stress.

What happens physiologically, is we don't take deep breaths during stress which can cause lack of consciousness in extreme cases and light headed/dizzy feeling in milder situations.

Not hard to be overwhelmed without even realizing it in the world of today.

Then there is the whole going to the doctor stress, which I completely understand. Don't be hard on yourself!

lately i been running into super bad drivers that just cut into the main street off of a residential without even stopping before turning onto the street. literally taking the corner at about 20-30mph without even stopping... this morning a charger did it literally right in front of me, and of course they turned into my lane. i went to the right of them where there was'nt even a lane as to not hit their ass, and they had the nerve to honk at me. LMFAO... Fuck people who can't drive half decent.

 

Called it from the fuckin’ get go . . . @sloppystar was one of the prime examples of the ‘sofubiordeath’ brigade that last just until the next fad hits!

I hope you can somehow reciprocate the fuckover (in a completely legal and morally upstanding way of course).
