Great meeting some other 'brainers today!

It was a very good show, much bigger than last year's.

 

Who will be there today?

 

Sounds like the flipper crews finally fucked off and realised they weren't welcome.. from all accounts it seems like a great event with toys landing in a lot of collectors hands!

 

I wasnt there last year, but it seemed like most makers brought plenty to go around this year and everyone got a ton of things. It was really great to see. Vip pass didnt even seem to be much of an advantage. Im not sure exactly how many flippers were in attendance but there were some.

Great seeing everyone and meeting some more sb'ers!

 

The flippers actually have their own booth selling garbage prints and shittty toys, so that they can get in before even VIP ticket holders. They were also spotted in the children’s park across the street from the venue shooting pics of the stuff they got and I’ll assume posting it for sale.

 

I'm surprised no one got mugged camping out there for 4 day straight before it even opened.

saw at least seven sought after pieces on ebay and in screenshots being flippedy flipped. who’da thunk it

 

anyone comment on the OSM assortment at their booth? one off ningyo by izumo-$2500 deaths vault goboking-$1000 plus some others. kinda weird huh

 

All I know is that sounds both really shitty and shady if you ask me.

 

There's some comedy on eBay for sure.. I never check it but the Goccodo VAG figures listed for $119.99 gave me a good laugh

OSM is an odd topic. Some people love the guy, others don’t. Kinda polarizing.

Selling your own collection at the booth is similar to the discussion that was from last year’s DCon too.

 

i definitely agree to its similarity. i always wonder if those people are just selling pieces for the same price they paid in which case its not as big of a deal to me for some reason. izumo thought it was hilarious but he still took pictures of the price tag and the booth so im sure he was bothered.

Anyway, great show!! I saw a lot of familiar faces and new ones too.

I also left flowers at @gazpacho 's grave.

 

It’s pretty disingenuous to write paragraph long posts about what a masterpiece something is and then try to sell it for more money less than a year later, but that’s hardly anything new in the hobby.
