i was at work all day and came home to be told my dog and best friend of the last 13ish years of my life (i had him since i was 8 ) had to be put down. he had been in pretty bad shape for the last 3 or so months. when my grandad died last year i wasn't very much affected as bad as it sounds, but i was gutted when i heard max had died. i miss him already. i have almost no photos of him but here's one my mum took of him sleeping about a year ago. post pictures of your dogs to cheer me up. i know alot of dudes are into pugs/pitbulls here. ps dogs > cats > humans.
Man, I am sorry to hear about your loss. Here are a couple of pictures of my girls: (Lulu trying to stay warm last winter in her hoodie and booties---she's a true sport!) (silly drunken party where we all took turns getting our picture taken wearing this wig, and since she is a part of the family, Ms. Bella got her turn at it as well---I don't think she enjoyed it as much as the rest of us did) Best wishes to you Conqueror, Scott
My condolences dude. Looks like a Golden Retriever - same breed as my boy, also a three letter name: Sam. Sam turned 14 this year, and I try to make the most of the time I've got left with my mate before his time is up! Not the best pic of him but the easiest to post because I don't have one handy to upload. This was taken in '06. After a summer time snip so he wouldn't cook during the hot days!
It's a sad thing to have to say goodbye to someone, no matter the species. My condolences to you & your family. Here's a pic of Mephisto, he's about 10, though he acts like he's 2. He's a spoiled momma's boy, but I am a close 2nd at least.
So true. Sorry to hear about your loss. Here's a pic of my friend's insane little mutt trying to breakdance..:
This is Madeline. She's Danielle and I's Boston Terrier puppy and she's about 6 months old. I know how you feel, it's the worst. I hope this helps cheer you up.
lol, nothing like a little head gnawing. I think the OPs dog is a great pyrenees right? the ones I have met seem like very cool dogs and so well tempered. Sorry to hear about your loss. 13 years is a nice long life for a dog. Turk is my boy on the left.
Sorry to hear about the bad news. Some pics. Maddy as a pup, looking little and kinda sad.. Maddy a bit older.. she is a lot fatter now than in this pic. Over 170lb.. she's also not allowed on the furniture anymore. And here is Reggie the Chinchilla.. 1 day old.
Sorry to hear about your dog, it's the worst thing to lose a friend like that. I've told my dog that he'd better live longer than me because I wont be able to take it. This is my bfff Gunnar... He fights secreters in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3108&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=Dog+tired
Meet Buddy, my 10 year old Dachsund, looking bored and trying to figure out why the hell I don't have anything better to do than take pictures of him..
So sorry...Max was a beautiful dog and I'm sure he had a great life. Best thing you can do is after some time, give another dog a great life.
Sorry to hear about your loss. We lost out cat a few years ago (13 years old) and definitely know what your going through. Here are my two 8 year old book ends (Renoir and Matisse) - Humane Society rescues
I am sorry to hear that conqueror. I have a 13 year old as well and as someone else mentioned, I am relishing what time we have left together as much as we can. ~Madeline Here's my little brat doing her The Dog impression: Here she is giving me attitude as she rested on the couch. This was taken recently:
that's a beautiful dog and it looks like he was taken good care of. As mentioned already, after the initial shock wears off, I hope you will consider taking in another pet as far too many are abandoned (as Buddy was. I found him on the side of the road) and/or euthanized. (gretta is awesome, devilboy.. I knew there had to be some fellow doxie lovers around here..)
This guy passed away earlier this year, also at 13. He was diagnosed with cancer when he was 7 and they gave him 2 months. Guess they were wrong. Rock on, boy!
conqueror, I really feel for you. That sucks so much. I am in a similar situation. My Dog is 13 & is getting to that point. I dread the day, but I know it is coming. Here is Theo. RIP Max.
