    It did just turn up on a certain auction site. I messaged them about the listing title and they said they “bought it in 2011.” Then I asked where they bought it and no reply

    I think FOE could step in here and tell the auction site this is stolen merchandise. I'm not sure how far it would go, probably just remove the listing. But you think they would help more, like freeze the sellers account or any tie up funds.

    To shoplift something like that you have to know what it's worth, and honestly the likelihood is whoever did it was a collector themselves, or had specific instructions from one. This is one of "us" pulling shit like this. I'm sorry this happened to you and hope you can get back both your Boss and a name.

    Since the cat's out of the bag, I should point out that it's not be a good idea for the whole forum to bombard the seller with messages about how it's stolen. The decision to reach out should stay with @Russblue11. If we harass the dude, they can just take the listing down and then the piece disappears again.

    You are a fucking idiot. There are people on this board who probably know this person directly. Said person is probably already checking sb and I wouldn't be surprised if they had an account.
    I'm not suggesting people spam his ebay posting. My point was...is why is it RussBlue's decision? If anyone has a say it should be FOEs.

    You made zero effort to qualify what it was about the original post that you were questioning, and it's entirely possible that @zindabad and @Spaceman Yells thought that the toy was stolen from Kevin - I don't know the full back story, but it could well have been the case that the toy was purchased at the opening but was to remain on display until the end of the run, happens all the time - so maybe take a second to consider where other people might be coming from (or take the time to actually express a full thought when you post) before you go throwing insults like that around. Yeesh.

    Toy was definitely bought by Kevin and most likely to be kept on display, so I’d say Kevin has a pretty big say in the decision. Sounds like some fuckin’ idiot didn’t take the time to read before shooting off at the keyboard.

    I did think the piece was already paid for and then stolen while on display, since I didn't know how FOE ran things. Sorry to stick my nose in it without the entire context; I spoke from worry that the piece would disappear again.
