I emailed Shig the same drawings years ago and he seemed fine with them.

I replied to this recent email asking if he could explain what exactly was the problem, but received no reply.

@gatiio whoops I should clarify that Burritobreath did the artwork for these and they are produced by Pinhead Company. Sorry if there was any confusion.. I just posted because the Nag thread was so quiet..

Didn't Tim Biskup do something similar years ago. Painting a toy all black and shipping it with nails or something to destroy the paint. I don't remember people being too keen on the idea back then.

 

Yea, it was a burger buns. He shipped it to S7 intending it to get scratched on the way to the show, but it didn't get scuffed very much. Wonder what was under there!

I like it a lot actually, the collaboration is odd just given from Mr Shigs view point on most other toy makers, but this is really well done and I quite like the new refreshment lucky cat.

Let's not drag price points in, where people mock this and then grovel at the feet of other makers "garbage".. It's all a matter of opinion, and if someone feels they want to add the piece and are willing to pay the price, good on them. There's a lot worse out there.
