Grace is right, we're SUPER close now — and every donation helps!! Here's some context for why this is so important: 800,000 people die by suicide every year. That's one person every 40 seconds. Suicide claims more lives than war, murder, and natural disasters combined. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15-29-year-olds globally. More than 50% of people who die by suicide suffer from major depression. 2/3 of people who struggle with depression do not seek help. But we can change those numbers: $25 connects 150 people online to mental health resources. $50 helps someone sit with a counselor, possibly for the first time. Specific treatments used by mental health professionals — such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy-SP and Dialectical Behavior Therapy — have been proven to help people manage their suicidal ideation and behavior. Certain medications used to treat depression or stabilize mood have been proven to help people reduce suicidal thoughts and behavior.

There’s only 3 days left to donate – The fundraiser ends on 9/20, and a few days later I’ll pick winners and contact them to let them know the order they were picked. They’ll then pick from the list of toys in order. Each person can only win once. And thanks to a few awesome donations here at the end of the campaign, we've passed my goal of $7,500 and we're currently over $8,000!!
