Alien Mysteler in mid size? Or even...... a standard size?!? Those reds in the back look really large to me.
Very cool! Hard to say for certain, but estimating from the scale of the micro, I would say this could very well be full Buta size. I am also digging a new base vinyl colour, I could be wrong but I think it has been a while since we saw anything in pink. Most exciting of all is brand new sculpts coming out, and - if I dare remain optimistic - what this could bode for other, yet-unrealised, characters!
Yeah, it looks like a hot pink coral or something? Though it could just be my color settings... I don`t remember him ever doing that shade of vinyl before. Very promising as I`m a sucker for bright & happy colorways...
New teaser. Looks like a rather detailed sculpt, or at least the head. And an alternate body color on the right? Maybe the Good version? (As opposed to the evil one on the left.)
Very cool, wonderful work on the sculpt, as you've said. Definitely looking full Buta size, as I had initially thought. Still loving that reddish-pink of these blanks too. I wonder if the green is a test pull in other random vinyl, or maybe some play at painting? Now if only I will be selected for the 'secret list.'
My word that is a lovely set of Mysteler Seijins!! I crave these even more now then I did initially. The fact that Oohashi-san made the 'battle' set of the two of them just makes it that much more special. One for the fans. borrowed from the episode storyline. Bonus of these lovely fact sheets (good, and evil, respectively): And, just because I have a particular soft spot for this fellow, extra nice artwork via this page. (sorry, can't seem to host it directly). Now, if OMB would only include a 'secreted' Redman figure as part of this release, then, truly, I would be in full swoon.
Well, as usual, it must have been fast and brutal. Hope that at least some of you got lucky. I had to say that last bit through clenched teeth.... will be having a good cry now
Question: how many versions are there of the mini Kanegon, and what are they? I need one for my Booska shelf.
I think there are two, the blue, and bright pink, at least as standard release versions. You can eyeball them here on David's Ultra-Q update to the DB.
I've been out of the loop for a minute.. Is Bwana still getting the Butas in or do we have to go direct these days?
He'll post them on his instagram every now and then, but I'm usually too slow to pick up any. Would appreciate it if anyone knows any other way to stay looped in.
Jeepers Creepers! Wonder where he got his stash from! He's so nonchalant about them! Very very amusing video, thank you for sharing @badteethcomics p.s. does anyone know what the sudden madness for Bakkey figures are all about? Another sold on Mandarake last night, almost instantly, for 45000 JPY! p.p.s. I don't know if that video is a good dream or a nightmare! He has soooo much energy! p.p.p.s. I want to climb into that video and rummage through that box myself!
Priest also makes his own monsters in sort of a DIY/folk art style. They're really good. He also collects other toys and I believe that he also collects and sells antique knives. He is quite a guy!
@badteethcomics Thanks, never heard of this guy before. His vids are unpretentious and funny, i checked a load of them out. I surprised myself with how many of the sofubi makers names I knew - even with makers I don't have any toys by. It was cool to see him enthuse about toys I own, too . . .
Glad you're enjoying them @The Moog - i caught this guys videos on facebook ages ago, and I kept bugging him to upload his toy vids to youtube so that they could easily be shared around. He's pulling out some great stuff.. there's another vid that is mostly Gargamel, I'll have to track that one down. It would be cool to see similar videos from members here doing raids on their own tubs, but it's a big thing to put yourself out there on youtube so I understand why the idea probably won't take off
