Nice one! True story: I’m friends with Phonte and Nicolay. I used to work with Nicolay’s wife when I used to lived in DC. She became manager of The Foreign Exchange, Phonte and Nicolay’s Group. Whenever they come through town, we hang.. I love Phonte’s tunes with Jazzanova, that’s some good shit..
This band from Mexico named Zoé released a new album called Aztlan. If you’re into spanish rock you’ll dig em. A bit more indie nowadays but still really good. This record is especially synthy too.
You can't have Kraftwerk without a little Can in my world: Thanks for unintentionally leading me to this recording, Joe!
Nice, i love a bit of Can. Weirdly, John Lydon was the person who turned me onto them. He kept banging on about Krautrock in his autobiography.
my friend Josh Clark formerly of the DNB outfit Sinthetix is on a new kick. Pretty rad stuff and well produced! https://soundcloud.com/syzygyx https://soundcloud.com/syzygyx/eye-of-the-beholder Syzygyx is on some new wave, dark wave, synth wave business. A must listen!
@The Moog - First saw them, with Lush as the opener, back in early '91. Still have the tour shirt, I think. Great night.
