Hmmmm! Thanks for the explanation, I'll have to check that. Somehow, that escapes my memory! First Buta toy with clothing!
It's a cosmic joke, Japes! My rekindled love of, and inexpensive access to the Megoish world was a soothing balm to the nonhealing wound of my 2-year+ Buta drought. Serves me right for getting it in my head that it would all be alllllllllright. Allow me to reproduce for you - from a few nights ago - my first two PMland reactions to the gnu gnus: FHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK! Why he gotta be do dress-up dollie? and Why now, Lorb? I was free! Free! Why must you compel him to sew and clad? WHY? Heh. My friend's fine council? "The universe knows exactly how to drag down each person with their own particular set of vices and vulnerabilities. You are fully aware of this." Yep!
It's silly. His toys always show up on the aftermarket. The intention is good and don't get me wron I believe the artist should profit more but at this point it's unavoidable.
Yep. Lalah Sune - ララァ・スン -- 7,500円 Sleggar Law - スレッガー・ロウ -- 5,500円 Amuro Ray - アムロ・レイ -- 7,500円 Ramba Ral - ランバ・ラル -- 5,500円 Clamp - クランプ -- 5,500円 A mere 31,500円 for this family!* L-R: Lalah Sune; Sleggar Law; Amuro Ray; Ramba Ral; Clamp *Unless you're almost everybody that wants to own and play with them. In that case, expect to drop closer to a 100,000円 after all is said and done.
Unreal and amazing. Love them all. Every once and awhile, I get kid like and geek out over these adult toys.
Well I've never happened upon the lottery info for buta before. It's always a post then it's gone. Hopefully I strike gold this time.
I just want the amuro guy. Just to place randomly in the cabinets...when friends ask about him, I'll laugh and act like I've never seen it before... (Then I'll place him somewhere else when no one is looking) rinse repeat.
I guess I'm not a profit prophet after all: Or, in the case of the examples in your post above, 113,400円. Once you add ship and currency exchange fees I was WAY off, ha! WHEEE!!!
It seems this latest release batch has the highest initial resale prices. Not a criticism on Mr. O, but I wonder if the initial announcement of a restricted buying policy has influenced the higher resale prices. I still think that going into lotto mode, will make prices even more crazy! Curious to see what the prices will be like, 6 months from now. Some of the figures from the October 2016 releases, that are popping up now, are considerably lower than their initial prices, when they first hit the resale market.
Grace i think theyre very high because of a combination of where they were sold and the characters that they are. I hated to have to watch these pass me by. They look so good! Is it Butanohana 13th anniversary??
^^^Ah yes, forgot about them being festival releases! Good point! Yes, they do look very nice, especially Ramba and Clamp. Those prices are so high though! Perhaps later, if they are still surfacing, I might try to adopt the set, but for now, I'm eyeing some vintage
I would love to get that whole set being that I'm an old school Gundam fan (UC is the only timeline, damnit!) but I know it'll never happen.
I completely admit that these figures are a gimme for Gundam fans and nothing for the kaiju crew, but that's kind of why I like seeing them since it's branching out. I doubt he'll ever abandon the kaiju train! Edit: the Gundam mecha soft vinyls that are out there, on the other hand, do absolutely nothing for me. It's just the Buta funkiness of these characters that really have a great appeal. They are just ludicrous and I love that.
