^ Oh, Dago!... Coming from you, I feel flattered that you appreciate my Splurrt! After all, you have one of the most amazing Splurrt collections! I would like to thank you and all the guys who helped me with my Splurrt!
We both have that issue with a piece or two lol Thanks on the masterworks I love them want to take one in a backpack at all times lol.
So I thought the masterworks was in the first release, and you have 7 of them? Are we in the same universe? Just....how?
@quentor Nooooooo. Joe's done a couple online releases for painted and unpainted green. Lulubell carried the marbled at DCon last year, we had a one off for the Ichi show and the lamé purple not pictured was at Five Points.
There was also a micro run yesterday, as well as a couple of beautiful one offs! (One of which I'm the proud owner of ).
Hey, good call, @patrickvaz! Those Garamon Masterworks are INSANELY beautiful!!! And congratulations on owning one from the show!
You are a joke The fact that you didn't realize there was more than one release means that everything you said means nothing
No I knew, I just didn't get one. So explain how someone has 6? SPECIAL PRIVILEDGES You know what's douchey? Showing 6 of one figure that most people can't even get one of. Congratulations!!!! Nice pic! I didn't realize how much better you were than me until that pic.
Why create unnecessary drama? There is nothing to discuss, this post is stupid. I don't collect Joe's stuff, but coma is obviously a ridiculously die-hard fan and has been from the beginning. This post falls under you thinking you deserve something from the maker. You don't. I've been collecting for a decade, and there is not a single maker out there that owes me anything. I've found that attitude to be much, much more beneficial in collecting than butthurt whining. I'm truly sorry you've had a rough year man, I really am, but flaming like a child doesn't do anybody any good. I enjoy reading this thread sans unwanted drama.
None of the online releases were lotto, they were web drops, which meant everyone had a fair shake. Just because he's got six doesn't mean he got them all from the artist. There is such a thing as the hunt and a massive secondary market. I've got 26 Cinema Monsters(all different) and more than half of them came from secondary market offers. I have 65 Obake Dogs by Secret Base and 100% of them came from secondary. You might get bored of a sculpt if you have more than one. Great. That's good for you. But it's not good for everyone else, and you certainly don't speak for everyone else. I thouroughly enjoy multiples of a sculpt for their variations in colors and paint styles, especially certain homages, hence why I have the collection that I do. More often times than not, it's the relationships you build in the community and its members, not the artists. And sad to say, by your own admission, you've "lost your ins". Seems to explain itself.
Multiple color/version of the same sculpt collecting may not be for you, but it is for other folks, myself included. To each, their own. Coma21 is a great guy. Don't flame. There's no need.
I understand the frustration, because I feel it too when there is some stuff I just can never get or I can only get paying 3x retail. So I'm just going to reply to this with some clarity. I haven't done an online lottery yet. All the greens were shop drops. 3 of those are from events, and Mikee got them either going to the event, through mules, or afterward tracking them down. He loves Cadaver Kid, and once you develop a reputation for really loving a figure, people help you get them, they mule for you, they offer them to you when they sell or on the secondary market. I shouldn't even get into this, but the MW Cadaver Kid is a very large figure, with a large neck joint, that has proved somewhat difficult to pull, that's why you haven't seen more of them. I've been working to get the molds changed and putting both those parts on their own tray, but that takes time, you have to wait your turn at the mold factory for them to cut apart your mold and reweld trays. Once the molds are better I will start to do some large blank runs through Lulu like I do with all of the stuff they pull. Believe me, I don't try to intentionally make "hype" I do as much as I can. Most of the blank and marble runs I sell through Lulu are runs of 50-75. When the MW Cadaver Kid mold is cut up I will be doing the same with it. I wish I could do runs of 50-70 painted, but I just don't have time, and I also don't like my lungs feeling like I just smoked a pack of menthol cigarettes for a week straight. But I am always looking for more ways to get figures out and I'm working on partnering with a paint facility that would have the capabilities of doing large painted runs and even open orders. I'm always trying to grow it, but I'm just one person with limited time and there are factors outside of my control. I've been waiting 7 months for the Arch Usir mold, there have been countless problems with one of the factories I use and at this point I've lost access to all my older figures, the Diggler, Evolved Diggler, Usir, Cadaver Twins, and more, believe me I'm trying to fix it. i'm trying to fix every problem I have with manufacturing and set up new paths to make more. So believe me whatever frustration you guys feel, I feel 10x trying to get this shit made. Throughout the past 5 years of vinyl manufacturing I've wanted to give up 50 times due to various frustrations I've never shared, but I always suck it up and push through. Medicom, no thanks. I'm not going to give them half of my money to put a picture on their website. I'd rather work with people who legitimately care like Luke and Amy.
