Paint work makes these look like really creepy lobster monsters without a shell. Even the yellow accents add to that concept because it looks like melted pats of butter. Very cool! These would be a blast to take fun pictures of at a seafood restaurant.
These are such fun toys in hand, dude. Literal translations of his artwork, some of the best I've seen of any artist, but also has a very organic playability factor.
Incredible photo of a wonderful toy, Robert. I really love the added highlights, wonderfully done. And of course the red adds some great contrast with against the black vinyl. Congratulations, and kudos to Michael on achieving such an excellent release.
Wow that really looks great!! I'm wondering when the flesh blood demon I ordered will land! My Slime Bats are waiting
5points was a blast, it really was a pleasure to meet you @xSuicide Squadx , your photo skills are above and beyond awesome. i feel like alien lazer never looked so good! @rattanicus - should be any day now, some other east coast pals have been landing theirs, so hang tight! a little bird told me that the green vinyl goops are in the pipeline now...
Excellent figure, much larger than I expected. I'm definitely going to need to add a few painted figures to the collection.
Thank you, @michael! An absolute pleasure meeting you, as well! The Alien Lazer and Draculobster have such great scale and heft to 'em! I knew they were bigger when I saw photos of them being held, but I was still pleasantly surprised when picked one up myself. Can't wait to see what versions are to come next! The blue glow ones look to be my favorites so far.
I spoke too soon (not that I was actually worried)! Just got my Alien Lazer in. SO cool, and the flesh color is gnarly. Header rules, too! Thank youze!
I may be jumping the gun on this one just a bit but honestly I haven't been super excited about anything new in a while. The second I saw the Sepentoid that all changed. Go and check out Mikes IG if you can because the new video shows a side profile and over all look on this guy and I can't say enough. I love mikes toys however I don't have any in hand but I'm still trying haha. I just love how much his toys represent him and his art. That something that really stands out to me as a collector and fellow artist. Keep killin it dude.
Dude, Michael's first two figure, Alien Lazer and Draculobster, have insanely high praise from me(not that, that's worth much). But this new Sepentoid...WHEW. It's like Michael took the Sphinx on a honeymoon and this is what was birthed. LOVE it!!! And more than just the fact that it's available in red!
Really great looking clear on his Instagram feed also! I agree fully on the first 2 figures in this series and like this one even more. Also now cant wait to see whats next!
cause I'm sure that's what all toy makers love, people harassing them and DM'ing them for hookups... he has done a few releases, and there will certainly be more. they haven't been impossible to get, just keep a lookout on his website. And about the serpentoid... I dig it big time! I love the unique pose that he's in, never really seen something like that before.
thanks everyone, im really happy with these Serpentoid test pulls. Its about 7.5 inches tall, and about 5.5 inches from snout to stinger. his arms are articulated, and his cowl is "articulated" , but you cant move it haha. i really wanted to see how far i could push this toy in terms of weirdness, and what i could get away with through my collaborators in china. happy to hear that it is resonating with people! im excited to throw some paint on them. probably shooting for a blank release soon, and a small limited run of painted ones for Dcon (not sure if ill be there or not, but serpentoid will be!) heres a quick turnaround shot of the toy in a guacamole-ish mustard-ish colored vinyl
MY GOODNESS!!! The face on the back of the head?! Dude, that is so killer!!! Holy hell, I am so excited for the prospect of shooting one of these! I'm takin' a heavy, heavy trip to some desert sands with this guy if that happens!
Michael I have to say I am super into all the new stuff you have been doing got my first Alien Lazer recently and I couldn't be happier with it. This new sculpt is going to be a must for the shelves for sure. Keep killing it.
Said it before and I'll say it again. That ice blue release is just super COOL. In fact, I'd recommend you CHILL out for a while because your new releases are just so ICE to look at. No COLD shoulders around here, pal.
