Love the box set of Alien MUSCLEs. I'll get them and throw them into my SDCC Reaction Alien Egg, like the good old garbage cans from the 80's.
dang it, all this Alien stuff has got me all in a tizzy. Totally want the MUSCLE ones. they can duke it out with my MOTUSCLEs. Am I imagining things or did I see a mention somewhere that ALIENS will be getting the ReAction treatment? if so, take all my damn money! I'm actually surprised that we haven't seen ReAction figures for other horror properties. Everyone makes the Freddie's and the Jason's etc etc, I think this line would be great for Day of the Dead, or Dawn of the Dead. Potential for lots of zombies, the central characters in this style would be bloody great too (Captain Rhodes in regular or 'torn in two "choke on 'em' version'). I would see the Dawn... zombies having that outrageous blue/grey hue to them and bright red blood splatters. I think they'd do really well.
It would be the Perfect format for a MANBORG line. Captain Power comes to mind. There are so many characters that would make for some fun toys. Ha, maybe because some were made from toys. But the rights would most likely not be as difficult to obtain as these other licenses either. Back on the Godzilla ReAction topic - if we're talking non dai kaiju characters, I'm all in and think it's a Great idea.
Grossly overdetailed protos of Mystic and Skeksis? Hmm. EDIT: "super7sandiego@reisobrien just shared some more photos of the upcoming#TheDarkCrystal #ReActionFigures! He also mentions that there will be a "Build a Crystal" feature implemented with this series. Check out his Instagram as well as @thequeenofgates for more photos."
I require The Lost Boys action figures. Frog Bros. in battle camo? Nanook variants ? Kiefer Sutherland's haircut? Sax Man ? Also very happy for the Hellboy figures coming up ( when are these being released, guys ? ) Lobster Johnson !!!
I don't quite get these either. They look great and it's about time DC had some cool toys, but they don't have the Reaction aesthetic and that's the charm. Breaking that vintage Kenner action figure guideline, makes any property a viable option ; just size it and stamp it with the reaction name. Edit: Did those ALIEN keshi figures ever get released?
Right, because now there is no reason they shouldn't be making things with higher quality of detail. To those that are not hard core collectors of pure throwback toys might see this as a giant step backwards in design rather than something unique. Iv come across allot of ppl who don't understand the concept behind the older designs and see them as a waste of money in general. Ether style is fine with me and will have me buying a few as long as there is effort shown in making the toy.
A newsletter recently went out in regards to the Super7 x Funko ReAction Line - http://super7hq.com/news/reaction-figures-return-to-super-7 Super7 Retail, Inc. and Funko, LLC are pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Super7 Retail will resume designing, manufacturing, and distributing ReAction Figures and related merchandise. Since 2013, Super7 has partnered with Funko to release the ReAction line to great success. Super7 will build on that success by debuting a variety of new and exciting ReAction Figures in the coming months and years. Funko will continue to focus on growing its core lines of pop culture-licensed collectibles and apparel into 2017 and beyond, including developing an all-new line of action figures produced solely by Funko. Super7 invites inquiries from wholesalers, retailers and licensees regarding Super7's full-line of ReAction Figures.
Is there any small, slight, miniscule chance that Super7 would consider doing a Dawn of the Dead line in ReAction? 4 main characters (plus a zombie version of Stephen/flyboy and maybe the zombie version of Roger in his bed). 'Famous' zombies like the bald head guy and the one with the machete in the head. Zombie 'army builder' packs with generic walkers and maybe Tom Savini and some of the biker gang too? ooh! ooh and the WGON helicopter if it works out....
I DEMAND a politically incorrect Benny Hill set complete with scantily-clad Hill's Angels and an Ernie the Milkman chase figure?
Is this a seperation from Funko? I just saw a post from Brian Flynn where he refers to the T2 series as the " last of the Super7 x Funko ReAction Figures".. What does this mean for ReAction from this point onwards? Anything that you guys can do now that you couldn't do while under the Funko banner?
I dunno about you guys....but those new Toy Fair reveal Shogun ReAction figures are....well...JUST AMAZING.
The Toxic Avenger ones were pretty dope too. Can't tell you how many times I've run into the Troma booth at cons and just wanted to buy out their whole inventory.
