    Great score chimply.kaiju!
Gorgeous piece, thank you for sharing this amazing photos. Love the blue light paint in the gray vinyl.
I have a question, how you do to disarm the figures without damaging them? One of my figures have something inside and makes a little noise when I move it, I have been tempted to remove the head to try to get what's inside, but I'm afraid that when put back in its place fits loosely. :(

@Alebrije - Heat is your friend! I always use the hairdryer method - a 20-30 second blast to the front and back of the joint area should soften it right up, allowing you to easy the part off of the whole. When you want to put it back, just do the same thing to the exposed flashing and pop it back in place. Other folk like to submerge the toy in warm water, but I've never been patient enough to try it.

I always use hot water, if you do you just have to be careful to not leave it with water inside... the little piece you can hear is probably part of the body that covered the hole of an arm,leg or head they get popped back inwards when the figure is constructed .... either that or its a cursed tooth

Just wonderful man!! I had to carry these photos over. You already know my strong feelings on this fella, but let me just say again, what a phenomenal toy that is. I am thrilled you were able to snag him when you did, and now, seeing him in person, he is everything (and more) I expected him to be. Such a gorgeous colour, love the vibrant brighter blue shade, and the lighter vinyl base is a perfect compliment. This is, I think, my favourite version of him; so considering how much I love the silly metal ape, that puts him high in the running among best vintage toys out there. I just can't say enough how much of a stunner he is. Thank you so much Bullmark, for bringing this guy to [vinyl] life; he is glorious. @chimply.kaiju you have a real treasure there, and I couldn't be happier.

So nice that he came to a new state too after cleaning. Funny, I have very much the same reaction to 'restoring' my old toys. I love the 'loved' look, but I also think - as with any possessions - they deserve to be loved and appreciated, and a good cleaning to show off their wonder is a regular part of that. A little soapy water and toothbrush do work wonders. As for taking them apart, I tend to use the hairdryer method as well. While the hot water works, and maybe even better for a lot of toys, I am always concerned with the re-assembly of getting a lot of moisture trapped inside, so after a bath, dryer is best. Even without immersion, you will notice some water coming out from the joints typically when you dry them off.

    Thanks guys.

@Alebrije - I prefer the blow dryer method. Easier to just heat certain areas with a blow dryer than waiting for the water to get hot and then filling the sink and then dipping the figure in it.

I can't compete with Chimply's wonderful light blue Mecha Kong, but wanted to share this little guy anyway.
I got him for pretty cheap.
Not sure on the maker or age, but was figuring it is leaning towards older, rather than newer.
Actually got this about a year and a half ago. Before active buying took a hiatus.
I love how happy Astro Boy looks.
I know there was a discussion about printed bags, this one has little images of Atom Boy himself.
I can't bring myself to spring him from his plastic tomb yet.

Amazing Michael. That is a score that certainly does not come along very often, and my jealously is easily overshadowed by my happiness that you brought him home. A really wonderful toy, and the fact it came up from a fellow boardie is that little bit extra special. If there was anything to lure you back in to the toy drive, you picked a fantastic example. Much congratulations on that delightful fella! Hopefully he brings you many years of ghostly delight in your collection. :dam:

Nice score, man. A great find at one of the harder to come by KR fellas. I don't mind a little love and playwear at all, but get that it is not for everyone. I wouldn't fuss around too much with the black mark though, personally. I don't find it that bad, and, while some scuffs can be removed gently under the right circumstances, I'd generally say it is rare, and you run a bigger risk of taking off too much of the finish and other chest paint with a lot of fiddling and/or abrasion. Just coming from my humble opinion (* and with some experience).

@ultrakaiju, thank you very much for the advise.... I actually also like the playwear and markers on the foot a lot i think it gives the toy character and personality. I really appreciate the worn out paint in contrast w the vinyl color is super cool to me, . i think that is why the worn out Hawaiian bullmarks toys are so cool. What I generally have issues with is broken fingers or parts...

Gorgeous, Roger! (or should that more aptly be hideous? ah well, you know what I mean) Congratulations, he is a stunning toy. I just love the design, from the mix of medieval armour stylings to the 'organic' nature with his excellent claw hand and skull-like face. Not an easy thing to pull off I think, and it works wonderfully. An excellent villain, and a superb toy to have on any shelf.
