Anyone else completely entranced by the Kosumegiras from Super Fest 70? Are these all regular release versions, or new stuff? They're just so amazingly radiant, I would love to see if they reacted to a blacklight with those neon colors.
Oh man, you're right! And looks like they were only sold at SF70, too. http://yamomark.blog19.fc2.com/ And it looks like they're painted on the inside of clear vinyl, too, ahhh! They must be incredible in person.
I didn't know about the international lucky bag until it was sold out. I wanted the orange one anyway so its fine. Really impressive sculpt/colour series, highly recommend. The blue does look great too!
I don't know how I missed the release of that new salamander monster, but I'm bummed that I did. It looks amazing!
Now THAT'S a toy collection I'd like to see. His book is an invaluable resource on the history of Tsuburaya productions. http://www.amazon.com/Eiji-Tsuburaya-Mo ... 1452135398
Some new additions for me: These two in particular are awesome - painted on the inside (with exterior highlights). Hard to capture the true colors.
There has only been 5 ultra kaiju released from yamomark right? ( garamon, kanegon, namegon, ragon, & seabouze )...unless you want to count the ragon as 2,with and without torpedo or whatever was stuck on his arm. Also the little food based ones he's been doing lately are pretty nice, particularly the gyoza.
@hellointerloper Yeah, every time I go to the site. Which is hardly ever, so the elation to smashed hope happens every single time...
I've been trying to score a glow Kanegon by Yamomark for awhile now. Something about that sculpt I love. Stars must have aligned yesterday because while searching for a Giant US Toys glow Kanegon (I want the original glow gold or blue from the break dancing pic or green/black) I stumbled upon my fave glow green version for sale (they usually get bought up ASAP so I jumped!). Here's a pic I found on the net:
Nice one, Lixx! Going to look very fine on your shelves once he arrives. I agree, Yamomark did some lovely work on their licensed guys, and the coinmuncher is one of the best. I too, have tried unsuccessfully several times to snag a similar glowie one, but they don't last long the odd time they do pop up. Knowing Yamomark's incredible output, I remain optimistic though, and some more could well be in the pipeline. Love his little yellow bootie danglers too. One of my fabourite things about these is that, as usual, Yamomark is fully doing their own [wonderful] thing. In a world of an abundance of Garys and Kannys (not that I am complaining, mind), it is always nice to see a different take. And the fact that they are also a midsize scale not often exploited makes them extra cool to have alongside other toys.
Did these get released yet? Have to say they are both my favorite Yamomark Sofvi dolls of all their products Did I read correct Yamomark is going out of business or is he talking about the factory that pulls his stuff?
No release yet for those guys.. probably next Super Festival? Haven't heard about that second thing... that would be a shame if his factory is shutting down. The vinyl pours that come out of that place are nice and thick.. very solid vinyl and tough joints.
