Store Display Model Mad Barons for Mandarake 2nd Indy Sofubi Rally on May 5, 2019. Micro run of 5: 1-off:
The clear faceplate on that one-off really grabs me. Hoping we see the same elements on a MB or other Zollmen sculpt that isn't auction only
Photos linked from the Zollmen instagram don't seem to display properly. Same with Hirota. I'm assuming because they're on private accounts. I know what's in those photos though, and it's totally beautiful, and I cannot afford it
Shame the new MB variations all seem to be giants. It's an impressively big toy, but I couldn't justify that to myself even if I eventually had a shot.
The first painted SDM Mad Baron was slated for July shipping. They have shipped out early. Some are already hitting the States.
Well thankfully the nose is blank, and unless you live in a warehouse he can only dive from the ground this time
That crossed my mind as well.. The photo brings the size into perspective next to the astro boy & mvh...HUGE!
Unlike the standard, it is well balance. The weight is centered, so it does not lean forward or backwards at all. The legs are also two parts. So you can turn from the knee to adjust it if needed.
That sounds like a smart adjustment to the design. Would be cool to see a refreshed smaller MB with similar tweaks, provided it won't sacrifice that beautiful goofy posture
I imagine you'd have to secure the feet and grasp the helmet wings in each hand. Kind of like lifting a bike pump
