Looks like there's a Zenith Idol zipping on the wings of EMS straight to this crazy daddy's house of chaos.
Or a fucked up Isengard (Saruman's) Tower I have been schooled; Orthanc is the name of the tower, Isengard is the name of the location. (like the willis tower in chicago.)
That is great news! I can't wait to see some all-encompassing pics of this guy (and better yet, check him out in person! ) I can just imagine what the box size is going to be. I hope you can get delivery right to your door.
via Kaiju Korner It's sold out .....because i bought it ! I am now wondering if each of these pieces is unique ?
I think you chose wisely. The new DreamRocket green one is just gonzo! It definitely has that DR feel to it, but frankly I think the simple paint schemes work much better. There is already so much going on with the figures, that a garish paintjob loses the artistic subtlety. But it does seem more popular these days - more toy than sculpture on that. And those arms, wow. Some kid is gonna have nightmares, you know it.
Awesome, it is like it has an inner turbine, along with whatever other craziness are inside these beasts. Great to see the One-Up stamp too, that clears up that side of it. So is it breaking the coffee table yet?
I don't know about the coffee table anymore...maybe it needs its own miniature sacred grove. It's not as big or "impossible" as it seemed to me in the pictures. The topography on this thing is rich and varied . I'll post more pics when i have a moment.
Congrats for the leap on this, though it's really totem-like, it stills conveys the idea of being a creature. Great shots too.
Excellent pics of a crazy amazing figure. The composition in that one showing from the bottom look up against it is extremely well done. I just love the look of these guys, and they fit perfectly in nature. I still can't get over how cool they cool from all side - and that surprise of tentacles in the back, very nice.
With the 360 detail of this sculpt it def needs like a pedstal musuem like display, ppl need to be able to walk around and study it
Thanks 'all, It is definitely a surprising piece. So many interesting angles. I agree with Connells observation that there is real unity in all the busy details, they really work together. Mutantshark is right, this is certainly a piece for table display. A shelf or detolf would be a prison for this free beast. All in all, i am 100% satisfied and it keeps growing on me. I think i already want a couple more I can't wait for the summer to snap some pics of this dude in a mossy glade.
Amazing photographs, well done! One of the most original and interesting figures released in a long while. I can see endless amounts of admiration prompted by it's size, textures, angles, time of day. Fantastic piece and congrats on such a great addition to your collection. I just hope you don't display it on the floor if you have a pet dog, without a doubt he'd be lifting a leg! ; )
The Zenith figure's base really does look like the Antikythera Mechanism pictured above. An ancient greek clockwork mechanism, a name shared with a classic high end Swiss watchmaker...what exactly are the creators getting at ?
