that would be interesting. Also does anyone know if there are going to be 2 zag planes released at sdcc? I just saw a picture on flickr with two mini crouching zags. That one and another.
The problem with the regular mini-zag size is that the sculpt is split in a way that would only show the head. The reason they created the crouching mini-zag scult was to make a compatible version that would work with charactics vehicle models. Personally, I like the crouching zag best... shows a little more personality, and the vehicle options make it really fun.
I really like this one; great colors. It has an old-school feel--though I'm not even sure I know what I'm talking about. but that's how it struck me. It looks like they made the propellers less sucky.
It reminds me of a Nutty Mad or a Weird- Ohs type of figure and vehicle. It more specifically reminds me of this Nutty Mad type plane I had as a kid; a weird monster in plane that "flew" by being being spun around in circles with some kite string, and the propeller moved as well. This is a cool toy.
Yup! This Charactics X Gargamel "Hawk" (Improvement ver.) was offered last June 25--some of us received paypal invoice, some of us did not. I think it was limited?? If I'm not mistaken, this garga plane has an orange base vinyl..and I have seen a fleet of these , I just now can't remember where?
Here's the other mini crouching zag. looks camo ish http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaiju-taro/2580152867/
The first version was way better. There's way too many colors going on with this one. Not my cup o' tea.
See, I'm the opposite. I liked the idea but the first one was "too classy" for me, I prefer this one way more. But Gargamel rules, they serve us all. Sounds like a motobot custom waiting to happen.
sometimes garish colors work (sdcc brain from 2006) sometimes not...this is a case of the not for me. the first version just played up the sculpt way better and made it more cohesive.
I agree the 1st one had a better paint job but this plane is cooler because the propeller spins. I don't like toys fail to deliver the fun. If a toy has wheels they should turn, if it has a propeller it should spin, if it has tracks they should forge ahead.
