Hi again! Does anyone know the deal with these Nara heads? I've got some but don't know what they go for? Are they all made equally and worth the same? Any info would be appreciated. Hope this is right place to post. LMK Here's one of mine...
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? Why do you keep asking what toys are "going" for? If you are trying to sell items then just put everything in one thread and list a price. If people think it's too high they won't buy it. If you don't know then throw up a thread in the whatever section because it just seems like you are fishing for prices. It'd be easier to show a picture of everything and ask people to pm you...rather than start multiple threads.
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? Hmmm... Really? This was only the 2nd time i asked anything. I'm cleaning out my stuff and had no idea asking would be a problem. Everyone was so helpful before my only concern was where to post this and I wrote that. In fact, I'm only asking because of the kindness and great info I got before. Don't worry, I don't have anything else left to "keep asking" about. BTW: Why are toy collectors so agro and weird to each other? Why not PM me? Why make so many accusations? Why be weird? I'll never understand the whole "nerd on nerd" attacks on toy boards. You collect toys and so do I. "You, me, same! We same!" Anyway...if i can delete this post i will and move it to the "whatever" section. If not, could a MOD please help me to do it? Bryce, thank you for all your courtesy and helpful advice. Best wishes -C
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? Just checked and the "Whatever" section clearly says :"Tech stuff, Movies, Music...anything but toys." So, you just got crabby with me about my post and then advised that I put it in the one place it clearly says NOT to?
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? They retail for $85 and are still available I believe. Comes in many colors and are all the same price. There is a larger GID one that retails for a bit more.
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? Thanks Jordan! I've seen some recent crazy prices that I knew couldn't be right. BTW everyone, me and bryce_r are buddies now! PMing brings people together! LOL!
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? I have a small collection of Nara toys and glassware. I have all the color gummi girls. I would really really like to find the GID one! As noted above I was going to say 75 to 90 on the gummi girls. The lesser price for the open ones with gummi candy removed. I love how Nara has taken his Fine Art and brought it to affordable items that everyone can enjoy. By the way his first name is Yoshitomo and last name is Nara. nara by gojigirl, on Flickr NaraBirds by gojigirl, on Flickr
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? Awesome Yoshitomo Nara toys, Linda! I also have a few of those books that he put out...the doodles are amazing.
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? -LOL! Bryce! Thanks again, my new little pony friend!!! -Gojigirl! Wow! I know you! I bought great stuff from you years ago! Thanks! Yeah, i only just found out a glow one even existed!!! Funny, i have most of what you have but never saw that dog! Is he vinyl or plush?
Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? Hi Jay - I forgot about the books. I have a bunch of those too. Thanks for reminder. The puppy in the first photo is plush. I have him in sand color and in orange. The orange one came in a little plastic purse tote from a show in Hawaii. Also there is the plush puppy keychain. The PupCup in the second picture is plastic and is bump and go battery operated. Re: Nara Yoshitomo Gummie head? I read this as "Nara Yoshitomo Gimme Head!" Whatever - Gojigirl, what is THIS .............................................V (the girl with bunny ears.) I don't believe I've seen that before.
What you are asking about is a mischievious little girl in a brown dress wearing bunny ears. She is meant to hang up somewhere and look cute
Ah, Linda. She was my first, you know? But ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HM_Ge9AZZec "You don't remember me, do you?"
That is a nice piece. I am afraid to ask what it is going for (or where for that matter you guys are scoring these Nara figures).....
