I met a few people at SDCC who are members but don't post much. Doesn't bother me at all. There are other benefits to registering, like being able to send PMs and keeping track of unread posts.
i told some people that when i originally registered, it was right before christmas- I signed up to see what figures skylar was posting about and wanted, so i could get them as christmas gifts. but now you guys are stuck with me.
I've had a few PMs in the past asking me info questions from a few select newer sign ups w/1-2 posts-They had said that w/all of the knowledge on this board they were a bit intimidated...I say post away guys..Enjoy skullbrain....Everyone here is cool as hell!!!
i'm new and i'm way intimidated, cause there is so much info that does go up on here. I have pm'd more than anything. i started out buying stuff from people. Now i am trying to post more, but like i said it is hard when you are new to feel like you aren't actually contributing to the board as a whole by posting.
I obviously don't post much. I really enjoy reading what everyone has to say. I am getting an education of sorts from all of the regular members that post. I am also intimidated by all that goes on here. I plan on posting more often...... I need to find a topic that I can contribute to and not feel stupid when doing so........ John ratcrtur
Don't worry about it... I just started around December/January, and now I have a decent collection, a fair grasp of Japanese vinyl, and a whole lotta nice board buddies to meet up with at S7 and SDCC.
It is good they don't post for awhile. Even better when they don't start new threads until they have read a lot of what has been written.
Fuck that just post in the what ever forum about your day or what hot toy you just found. Get to know us tell us what you like and what you want. Ya know You dont have to know much to start posting.
Yeah... errr... okay, maybe don't post... I don't want to have to fight to get to be first in line again next year.
+1...this is supposed to be a fun place to come to. tell us what color your living room is! not everything has to be super serious "toy talk".
all I was suggesting is read the forum before you start posting questions that have easy to find answers. Post anything you want in the whatever forum. BTW - I don't care what color your living room is.
I always think it's cool when new members introduce themselves in their first post. Tell us about yourself a little, or what toys you collect. Come on buddy...it says you joined up in March. I wouldn't want to post either after reading some of your comments.
hey now, I am very nice over here on skullbrain unless people are jsut total boneheads. I am not sure what comments you are talking about.
I'm pretty new here, and I read the board every day, but like some other folks have said it is kind of intimidating at first. I mostly post on roto because everyone over there is cool, laid back and nice, just like it seems everyone here is as well! My collection is still a few months young, but I have been collecting art and some other stuff for about four years now. I have been really drawn to a lot of the SB stuff, and thanks to the board, the Gargamel stuff. Another plus is that it would be cool to be able to meet folks next year in San Diego. Unfortunately this year I already had a trip planned for that week well in advance! I'm looking forward to being a part of the board and learning more...now if I could only figure out how to be independently wealthy...
