There have been talks whenever i see one of the old-timers. alas, the golden age of Japantown is past. regardless, it would be fun to have a trade fest. as tastes have changed, i might have much to unload. lol

I love Trade Fests...! for the first time I walked into Super 7 with Joe Wu a few weeks ago and didn't know anyone. It was unsettling and an odd feeling. but I would be down to trade with OG and Noobs alike. bring it on. I've got bins and bins of now old shit.

 

Where is Joe?! Make him come out from hiding.

Just wanted to say hi! I miss the old days. Remember standing in line for secret base Halloween figures on Saturdays in Japantown? When was that ? 2005? Ah, we had it all back then and didn’t even realize it... long live BASK!

just had lunch with Dustin and Alicia the other day. they are doing awesome. just had a baby girl. Named her Ripley. Dustin is active on IG. hit him up. he's into War Hammer games these days and painting those mechs up like nobody's business.

 

and since i'm here, shout out to DCON. it was an epic toy show. one of the best ever. it's now a big show at Anaheim Convention Center. It's all toys. yes, there is some crappy etsy shit there, but I think it's better than SDCC even back in the day. all you guys need to dust it off and get there next year. I promise you, your sofubi dreams will get re-ignited. Everyone is there including most of the Japanese makers. a lot of Skullbrainers in the house as well. I had a great time buying toys like it was 2006 again. hahahaahahaha. more importantly it was just great to see all the toy friends.

 

Having lunch with Joe tomorrow. Tried to get him to go to DCON. he said he was afraid he wouldn't have any fun. He's not collecting toys any longer, but it still would have been fun. i'll send him your regards David...!
