i come from the jersey shore. those people exist and thrive there, owning construction companies and restaurants etc as quasi-legitimate fronts for their income. its pretty standard at the shore, not completely mob-run though the presence can be seen if you know where to look. i think the yakuza guys would intercept any goons from the US pretty quickly.
I've never seen so many carwash's as I did in NJ. No offense, but I hope to never be in that state again.
Every time I go to NYC I stay in NJ cause it's way cheaper and 20 min. away. I only go back to my hotel to sleep and shower. Thanks NJ for having cheap hotels only 20 min away from NYC! What was this thread about again?
