Finally. This guy has been in the works for about 2+ years. What's the scale on this thing?

It started out similar to this.

I was wondering the same thing. Judging by the name plate in front I would guess it stands about 8"?

I like how this figure developed but still have a problem with the speaker/stereo reference. For some reason it just makes me think too much about the Tokyo Plastic figs.

The early version (?) deff looked weak but the final sculpt (top pic) works for me. I don't like the stereo aspects of it? but the final sculpts kinda just looks like the beasty's got sunken in eye sockets. I really dig brute type monsters (i.e. Dorols, 2hed bemon, Marmit Harryhausen Cyclops, etc) and this one has pushed ALL of my "dig it" buttons.

Yeah I cant wait for this either, stoked to finally see it in vinyl. I agree with Plover the speaker thing kinda doesn't fit well with the toy to me, although its not a deal killer. Thing is, the way its sculpted it can be painted and you would never see speakers.

Hopefully they will pop up on Lulu or somewhere soon.

oh oh... I hadn't noticed the eyes... kinda random 'eh? are they actually supposed to be speakers or just weird saucer eyes.

I think the clean sculpt of the eyes in the initial proto, and the direct reference to speakers was too much IMO. This is way better and had it not been for the name and the initial pictures I may not have even noticed anymore. Cool to see it in production.

the final result came out much nicer than the original proto sculpt...congrats to mic-low on his first venture into vinyl figures!!

like tim said,,the speakers were much more obvious in the start..more low-key now (a good thing me thinks)...their original intent can easily be overlooked at this point..

it was a relatively low-numbered release of 25,,so grab one if you see it

also,,i do not think butanohana released anything today..i could be wrong though,,someone who was there should step in & clear the air ;)

It looks similar to the Nike 6.0 man (two headed rubber dude released to stores) - but of course I cant find a pic of him anywhere.

Roger, I've been thinking the same thing, and loving it! I wonder if we'll get one that matches S&S's colors closer.

Gah, I have to dig through my garage and find that dude!

I really like this Stereogon guy; it reminds me of the Rumble Monster mini pharaos on steroids and genetic engineering.

I like this a lot, but I think the sculpt will look much better in lava reds and oranges with a touch of black. The dark base seems to obscure a lot of the details.

Doesn't matter, though. If I have a chance to score any version, I will.

The Nerdone figure is fantastic! I also really like the Yamazakura figures from the show and the new CKA Gorilla looks pretty good in red.
