If you have vinyl stickers inside the bag with your sealed toys, you might want to remove the stickers... just a word of warning. It makes sense: vinyl sticker with vinyl ink + vinyl toy = bonding can occur. You can see the missing paint on the head... and where it transfered to the vinyl sticker. Ouchy!
I suspect you are right... It looks to be straight-up silver, not a weirdo mix. Should be able to figure a cover-up. Advice? Also, I think it MAY have had other circumstances involved. Possibilities: 1.) it's an older figure. More time in the bag may have lead to this. 2.) it may have been in the bottom of a box with other toys on top. That slight pressure over time could have done this: constant contact + pressue = bonding. 3.) this occured before it left Japan, a couple years back, right off the line. Shite occurs. Am I still smiling that I scored a Red wing? Yes. Yes I am. The quest narrows!
I have an airbrush somewhere... now i guess I need to order some V-color... unless someone here has a spare to sell. Or a partially used bottle even. Doesn't look like I'll need too much paint.
Well if you decide to do it yourself make sure you thin the paint 50% with v-color thinner and practice on something else first. Good luck.
man I would just leave it the way it is, little spots like that don't matter, especially when their on the back. nice score man.
When the perfection OCD kicks in it becomes the ONLY thing that we see. Its a sickness alot of us have.
Mine come out of the bag and go right into an enclosed case i made..No air and no dust..You can open the cases and smell the figs..Just like they came right out of the bag-Ahhhhh!
hell no! and if a figure is flawed out of the bag thats how i keep it. i'd rather have it "damaged" but entirely authentic
