My wife and I will be in Paris and London in early April. We've already got a huge list of things to do and see thanks to very knowledgable and wise friends but we'd like to hear some stuff from locals. We like art, music (hardcore punk and indie rock), regional food and more. Let us know what we should see!
I am based in the grim north and for hardcore gigs have a look here http://www.collective-zine.co.uk always updated daily but you might to search over a few pages, not sure where else you can get info other than Avacado booking http://www.avocado-booking.com as they normally do most euro tours these days
Try to track down the coolest book store in Paris, "Un regard moderne",10 rue Gît-le-Coeur in St-Germain.
St-Germain is one of my favorite places in the world. Lot's of cool stuff for killing a day. Best falafel too.
you should better go to Bastille (Babylon Café) or Rue des Rosiers if you want to enjoy the best falafel in town
You must go and see the Paris Flea Market! It's massive. Lots to see and do there, you never know what you'll find! http://www.parisperfect.com/paris-flea-markets.php
London- For gigs check here: http://www.eroding.org.uk/ Museums: John Soane and Dennis Sever's House are some of the best. Depends on when you're actually around though. The ICA is doing this: http://www.ica.org.uk/28162/Seasons/Strange-Attractor-Salon-From-Animism-to-Zos.html Which I need to get to. Loads of stuff in London.
