Not sure why this got moved since two moderators seemed to feel it was fine and one didn't, but whatever. I'm also not sure where the line on acceptable items gets drawn for people here. I know Glyos stuff has been offered without incident along with many other resin or plastic offerings that clearly aren't manufactured in Japan. Why the double standard? and how am I supposed to delineate what is appropriate to offer and what is not? This piece had about a 50/50 split yet it was still moved. Apparently it is a polarizing piece. I'll let it rest with the fact that some people found it interesting, that is enough for me.
The line is urbanized toys. This isn't me stepping into the fray but that is what this is about. Like it or not, sneakers and hip-hopesque street fashion is decidedly on the other side of the street. The rule here has always been to leave that particular side of things on other forums. Glyos, Itokin, Horvath and most resin I see around here may not be JP vinyl per say but it isn't really graffiti influenced urban vinyl either. Some Kaws and Pus sneakers get a pass but that's about as far as it seems to go. This is how it was when I arrived and I have no desire to change it. Some forums are for everything but SB isn't one of them. Someone once said it's like going on a classic hot rod forum and trying to talk about tuned Honda's, regardless of value judgement it just doesn't fit. Hope that answers your question. I didn't mind this toy personally but I know why people took issue.
Why do people need to be babied. The sale was not appropriate. People need to do their research and think before posting. I personally sent Analog101 a polite message to save him some grief. Now he scratches his head. If you are unsure about the fine line .... keep it safe, use common sense and post items that are clearly Jvinyl. I don't normally wade into this subject but it pisses me off. Mods please lock this thread. We have all seen this debate posted a million times
