Inspired by the many great artists here on Skullbrain such as Paul Kaiju, LASH, Shapeshifta, Locomoco and Redhanded just to name a few, I went out and purchased an airbrush. thanks to all these guys for all the tips and tricks. Painting is tons of fun and has increased my appreciation for Japanese vinyl! No rare smogons were harmed during this experiment...
Awesome Kirkland! Glad you took em outside for some fun too I have yet to get my grubby hands on a Smogun, you got some magic there! I almost forgot how much you seem to like blue toys
Nice dude keep it up I've been keeping an eye on your blog and I can see a lot of quality works from you in the future.
Re: smogon What's to get? He's a truck... monster! How utterly sweet is that? I personally didn't warm up to the little guy at first either, but now I absolutely love him and would consider him one of my favorite sculpts. The Hokkukudo ones, though, I'm not so sure about yet. This is an awesome custom, especially for a first go. I really dig the blue and the eyes. I think more production Smoguns need to have darker paint schemes. I really enjoy the bright colors that have been released, but something totally out there would be nice for a change.
Kirk, that has got to be the sweetest smogun I've ever seen so far and can't believe I didnt see it till now! the blue really brings out the windshield! and the headlights on his feet are a great touch. Love the silver on the palms!!! Excellent job Kirk!
