i'm going over to Frank's studio tomorrow to hang out with Lokash. Want me to see how he progressing on all these projects?
Well, i'm shooting some of Lokash's new clothing line. he's working at Frank's tomorrow. Last time I went over to shoot Frank's collection for the punk magazine Wonkavision, Frank was really cool, laid back. We smoked a lot of cigarettes and talked shit about toys and what not and how his toys are now banned in China and Hong Kong
cool.....a toybot studio/kozik collaboration....... whats your cut? or are you just a kozik industries employee?..
that would be fun... don't worry...no painting on my end, but I know Lokash gets into the mix over there!
i hope that frank took all the money he has gained from the uncompleted projects and invested it wisely. it's possible he has maid a nice profit on just the principal amount you guys have provided
if they ban any of your ip addresses just use www.proxify.com it's real easy to use the kozik situation is pretty crazy, when i first joined the kr message board he was taking money for some of them, did you get the first one and do you think it was worth it ? i saw the progress thread and saw the green labbit with the candy cane, is tha all you get or is there something that goes along with it?
dont see any moving parts there. I dont think most toys collected around here are really intended to be used as toys (maybe a little posing but not much playing).
I think that means I should pay more attention. Well, I've been away for 2 weeks and now I'm sick so I'll plead addle-brained. At least for the moment. New Issue coming soon! I still think some articulation is better than none.
i still play with my toys, whether its an old beat up transformer or battle damage skeletor, or a piece of vinyl i spent more money on than a week of groceries. articulation is nice, but i dont think its necessary for something to be considered a 'toy'. as long as i can run around the room with it making some 'whoooosh' flying noise, id call it a toy. one of my favorite toys to play with is this hedorah that has a joint that doesnt even move, but it flys great! on the flip side, look at some of the mainstream articulated toys, especially stuff like mcfarlane's spawn, etc. theyre articulated, but so stupidly uber-realistically sculpted, that if you change the pose they look whack because the folds in their clothes and stuff dont match up anymore. i guess theyre still toys, maybe just boring, unimaginative ones.
Some of the McFarlane ones aren't even articulated. I got this nasty realistic looking clown one where he's on a looney stretcher. No articulation at all.
