hey heres a size comparison picture!! it is kinda hard to get a GID picture because it glows weird. when I first took it in the dark it didn't glow at all but I put a black light on it and it charged it up better than the house lights. I also took it outside in the sun and that made it glow pretty bright!! I hope to see more clear glow figures in the future because its fuckin cool.

Nah -- There was a very short-lived preorder list posted here around the time that S7 ordered Galtan. I was one of the lucky few that got in on it, and inquired about the status. I was told that they are currently en route from Japan. I have dough in hand ready to plop down for this dude.

I totally can't wait to see some painted versions.

Edit - That header is rad as all get out.

Blue glow! That's a first. Did you just use regular incandescent light to charge it up?

Not the usual cup of tea here, and actually Shintosan is my Kaiju of the month, but no pics yet. So here's this, I LOVE Ralph McQuarrie, and now that I can get toys of his awesome concept work from Star Wars I'm wet all over. There's only the Stormtrooper and Boba Fett here right now, but there's gonna be Luke, Vader, Chewie and a special exclusive for the big Star Wars Celebration of C-3PO and R2-D2. In a market saturated by re-packs and re-sculpts of the same characters from the same scenes, a nice little piece like this really stands out. Not my pic by the way, I suck at photography so I snagged it from rebelscum.

Yeah KOTOBUKIYA has a vinyl statue too of the Vader vs. Luke concept piece that's nice. It's re-vitalized my Star Wars genes.

What a great idea, to make toys from McQuarrie's original concepts as opposed to the final movie realization. The same thing would work nicely for Joe Johnston's original ship designs.

...or for that matter, Craig Hayes' original "bug" designs for Starship Troopers. I didn't care for the movie but Craig's conceptual work has always been awesome.

I have both versions of the McQuarrie Stormtrooper, love it. I would have picked up that Boba Fett at Chiller but it was going for a whopping $35 at four different vendors' tables. By Saturday afternoon all four of them were gone.

There's a Snowtrooper coming, too, anxious to see what that looks like. Commander Bacara from Episode 3 was based on an unused Snowtrooper design, maybe it will be similar.

Is there any fifference between the recently released concept trooper, and the original release of it?

I think just the packaging. I've only seen pics, but from what I can tell it's just a re-pack.

I'll be, sure si a difference. I like the newer one more though, mainly cause I keep this crap carded and like the card. The only reason I keep Star Wars stuff carded is because I like the actual artwork/designs of some of the cards. But I usually nerd out and buy 2 to open one. P.S. Sorry to turn this into a Star Wars geek fest to all non-interested parties.
